Despite the denials from her management and publicist, Jennifer Hudson is indeed pregnant, and considerably far along if reports from a Chicago baby shower this weekend are true.
According to The Chicago Tribune the event was very private, but apparently not private enough, since the affair signaled the public, despite denials from Hudson's camp, the singer is indeed far along in her pregnancy.
?It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family,? singer/actress Felicia Fields, a longtime Hudson friend, said of Saturday?s get-together in a relative?s home. ?They?re really trying to keep it kind of quiet.?
While the Tribune source wouldn't reveal Hudson's due date, some speculate she may already be in her third trimester. Hudson has been engaged to lawyer turned wrestler and VH1 reality alum, David Otunga since March. And apparently the couple have decided not to find out the sex of the baby ahead of time.
Asked whether Hudson received blue or pink gifts, Fields said, ?They don?t know [the gender]. More yellow.?
Who is surprised by this news? I don't think anybody. I'm just having a hard time understanding why folks deny pregnancy when it's inevitable that the truth will come out. Didn't Ashlee Simpson do the same thing? Best of luck to Jennifer and David.
