Maybe it's inspiring having Christina Milian around... because The-Dream says he's on pace to release a second album before the end of 2009.
According to Billboard.com Dream has already completed seven records for the project, tentatively titled Love King and is looking at a December release.
"I have to pace myself 'cause there's so much time between here and then," The-Dream says, "but the seven records I do have are timeless records. Whether they come out now or later it's not really going to matter what kind of records they are."
I'll be the first to admit that Love VS. Money was a great album (after just a few months it's certified gold), but saying you have 7 timeless records is really saying something. Do you believe him?
While Mariah Carey, Lil Jon and Kanye West joined him on the second album, so far The-Dream says no features are lined up for the next album.
"Usually it's one of those things where I kinda wait," he explains. "I wait 'til the end, and then who's ever doing their thing at that particular time, that's who I get."
Who would you like to see him work with? I need to hear him and Christina on something other than that "Amazin'" freestyle. I'd also love to hear him with Rihanna.
The-Dream begins his tour with Keyshia Cole Wednesday in Cincinnati, where he plans to provide fans with "a bigger Dream," complete with four dancers and a five-piece band and plans to film a DVD at some point during the tour, which ends June 21 in Keyshia's hometown Oakland, CA. He's also plotting a cover of Michael Jackson's "Dirty Diana."
Dream's last three albums seem to have borrowed a lot of inspiration from Jackson, along with Prince and R.Kelly. How did you feel about songs like "Walking On The Moon" and "Kelly's 12 Play"?
In addition to his album Dream is currently working with Mariah Carey, Brandy, Christina Milian and Diddy, who he says has a record called "Change" that The-Dream calls, "probably one of the best male records I've ever written...the best record I've written besides 'Umbrella.'"
And a moment I know I've been waiting for has finally arrived. Melanie Fiona's video for "Give It To Me Right". Check it out below:
Melanie Fiona - Give It To Me Right
I love Melanie's voice, but I also think she's really refreshing as an artist. Very down to earth and laidback! I wish her much success!
And if you hadn't already heard, more pictures of Cassie leaked on the net -- this time waist down photos with her legs cocked up and a vaginal piercing on display. Freaky little thing aren't we Cass? And no, I'm not posting the picture.
