Vh1 premiered Chrisette Michele's Soulstage special last night, but continue to check your local listings for the series to re-air.  In the meantime, Vh1.com has posted several videos of her performances which you can check out right here.


"Epiphany"



I listened to Chrisette's new Epiphany album last night and I have to say it's an amazing album. I encourage you to pick it up. The album is heavy on breakup cuts, no surprise since Chrisette recently went through one but the quality of the music is just incredible. It's definitely one of the best albums I've heard this year.

BTW, I love the little asides Chrisette gives for the Soulstage special just watch her intro to "Blame it On Me"

I guess the first album had it's share of breakup music too tho, huh.

Chrisette revealed that the song "Golden" is about her parents. Check out her performance:

I really love that one. It's one of my fave's. Chrisette's album hits stores next Tuesday, May 5th. Go pick that one up! You won't regret it.

Thanks for posting these! I went to her show in NYC last night and she was amazing. She also did a little interlude of scatting, which was a breath of fresh air. You don't hear many women these days in the industry that can scat and improv like that! She also had some great stories. You should all see her live if she comes around your way...
