Rebel Diva Roundup: Beyonce Clone Pulls A Prank, Ciara Revs Up Super Ci For Fantasy Ride Promo and Ashanti Works It For The Wiz

An Austrian radio station pulled a big one on Beyonce earlier this week, by sending an impersonator to a local museum to fake a Sasha Fierce appearance.
According to People.com:
The Albertina Museum in Austria got an exciting call on Tuesday: A manager for Beyoncé Knowles said that the star was on her way over. "We have had Brad Pitt and Nicolas Cage visit here," says museum press officer Verena Dahlitz. "So this was not big news for us - to have celebrities visit."
Thirty minutes later, a stretch limo arrived and a sunglass-wearing woman stepped out surrounded by five burly bodyguards. Museum officials were immediately skeptical. "She was too thin for Beyoncé," says Dahlitz. "I thought she had probably lost weight."
Still, the museum director gave the woman a VIP tour. After all, there were screaming fans outside, and officials assumed that she was just one of those stars who look different in person than they do on television. Later, the museum learned that the woman actually wasn't Knowles, but an impersonator sent by a local radio station, Krona Hit Radio.
"We were fooled," admits Dahlitz. But the museum is taking the prank in stride: "We must be the most important museum in Vienna," says Dahlitz, "because they chose us."
Sorry but that imposter looks more like Lil Mama to me than Beyonce.
With less than a week until her album drops, Ciara is going hard with the promo. Check out this video of her OK! magazine photoshoot as well as another video from her European promo run where she shows off her signature "matrix" dance steps.
Last night Ciara was back stateside for her Atlanta album release party at Luckie, I'm assuming there will be another event for her in New York or Los Angeles on the actual release date next Tuesday.
Ashanti's music career might have hit a flat note as of late, but she is still going strong on the acting front. According to Variety.com the singer just landed a stage role as Dorothy in a revival of "The Wiz." The musical will run June 12 through July 5 at New York City Center as part of its "Encores! Summer Stars" series.
Fun stuff. Anybody think Ashanti will ever be a contender for the R&B crown again? How crazy is that Beyonce impersonation story? Who else is tired of hearing about Thierry Mugler and the Ciara/Beyonce swagger jacking issue? Talk to me y'all!

That lady looks nothing like Beyonce. I wonder what the hell those museum people were on? I don't know about Ciara 's album. I hoping to smaple it and see if it will be the third CD from her that I will buy.

Ashantis last CD was a quality CD....Nelly not so much. theyve been working on this Wiz thing forever now! why some igorant gossip reporter on a radio show i wont mention....this morning referred to the wiz as "the black version of wizard of oz" why didnt he just say Wiz its 09!
Is it possible for a clone to have a clone? For a fake to have a fake? Remember those "is it real or is it Memorex?" commercials?
