If you've been paying close attention to the last few weeks 5 Songs posts you know that I'm crazy about Musiq Soulchild's current single "SoBeautiful" -- so I'm pretty happy to finally have some visuals to go along with the song.

I like the fact that they created a reference point with the photography shoot instead of him doing a more romantic video. And the leading lady was a very fitting choice considering the song -- she's definitely a beauty.

I haven't previously been that thrilled about the direction Def Jam girl group Electrik Red seemed to be taking, but they toned the sexiness down and seemed to have a lot of fun with their video for "Friend Lover".

Friend Lover - Electrik Red

It kinda reminds me of Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body" vid, but with better dancing! In case you missed it, the ladies "Friend Lover" rules are:

1. No popping up unannounced!
2. Never leave your clothes at my house!
3. Don't speak if you see me when I'm out!
4. You can't stay past 5 because I gotta be at work by 9!
5. Don't talk about what we do, it's just between us two!

Their album How To Be A Lady Vol. 1 is due out this Spring.

Jesse McCartney is currently a featured MySpace Celebrity on the popular social networking site, as part of his icon status the singer premiered his video for "How Do You Sleep" ft. Ludacris on Tuesday.

The beat goes kinda hard on that one.

What do you think about the videos? Think any of these songs are gonna get stuck in your head? Talk to me y'all!

The music video is nice, and from what i heard this is the coolest Electrik Red song. And Jesse's song is a decent mix of pop and b, it'll get play on top 100 stations

I wonder who forced Jesse McCartney to do the R&B route ?

Electrik Red is the fantasy of some man who decide to make a girl group. They won't be successful because they don't have that "it". Acting slutty all the time won't make you sell.

Why in the hell does this song give me an old early 90's type feel to it...The hook is lame, and it don't even sound like they are trying..I couldn't listen to more than 30 secs of the song. Then I tried to fast forward a lil to see if the song or beat was going to pick up or get better and it got worst....And they damn sure aint no En Vouge...So I say they will not even get the chance to be a one hit wonder...And Real Talk, I liked Danity Kane's "Showstopper" track better then this shit...And Danity Kane was like the wackest female group of this whole damn decade in my opinion...
Electrik Redd just needs a certified hit to get on and that song right there is not it...

Side Note: This shouldn't be hard, being that "The Dream" is their protege...And isn't he currently DEF JAM'S GOLDEN BOY REBEL???? I mean that's what you told us right????

Aren't they all video chicks? And is the lead singer the BEST singer? You would think with all their music connects from shakin it in videos they could snag some better beats. However I like their video "So Good" much better but the song still sucks. The Pussycat Dolls have mastered the sexy thing. Those women can really dance and it doesn't come off AS cheap as these Red chicks. PCD had enough sense to have Cee-lo green write for them. Who wrote ED's (Electrik Red or Erectile Dysfunction?) awful lyrics? If they get better songs they might last a tiny bit longer. If not? They can hang it up.
