I'm real happy with music right now -- this week I'm glad to give you a new set of five songs that I keep thinking of. Hopefully you'll share some of your favorite selections with me as well. Right now I'm really feeling Q-Tip's remix of "We Fight We Love" ft. Kanye West and Consequence.
If you haven't heard it yet, please let me know your thoughts. Check it out below:
I picked up the new Keri Hilson album Tuesday and I have to say it's pretty solid. I have a good four or five songs on there I'm digging -- but once again the Kanye assist is in full effect with my list today.
I just found out this joint was written by Kevin Cossom, Danja's N.A.R.S./Jive artist who I've featured on the site before. I really love this one.
Bey went double platinum this week -- no wonder because months after her release I find myself still playing her album -- particularly favorite tracks like "Ego," "Halo" and the one that made this week's 5 songs list -- "Disappear".
I'm hoping she does a video for this one at some point. I wasn't loving the "Diva" video at all -- although having Michael Ealy as eye candy in "Halo" definitely worked for me.
It should come to no surprise to you all that I'm still going strong with Ryan Leslie as well.
This is the music giving me the warm fuzzies lately. As much as I doubted his ability to win over crowds as an artist Ryan has really won me over.
I'm also hoping that radio will soon give "Blame It" a rest and shine some light on Jamie Foxx's duet with Marsha Ambrosius "Freakin Me"
love it mannnnne...
You know the drill. I showed you mine, now show me yours ;)

Shout to Q-tip for remaining original and not switching up your style for a neh mu'fucka....That song was blazing and kept it Soulfully Hip-Hop..
Still not impressed w/Kerri as of yet..They keep pulling out all the fucking heavyweihts, which in my opinion takes away from the actual artist...She stil hasn't proved that she can really sing..The beat seems to always carry her voice..She sounds like 1 Million other girls who are still waiting for their chance to break in the industry..She's got style and swagg, I'll give her that... But I get it now, when your not a star, you write songs for artist, but once become an artist, you don't write your songs??? Don't make sense to me....
Rebel, I'm going to have to agree with you on Ryan Leslie...That song Valenting is the Sheeeeeeeeiiiiitttt!!! I thought he was going to have a hard time breaking through the industry as well... But dude is very, very talented and I am definately going to support the brutha...
Damn, I even had to replay the video, cause being that is was so basic, Leslie kept me entertained just by playing the keyboard, swaying from side to side, and doing his own version of Stevie...LMAO!!!! But Really Doe, I had to play the video a 2nd time and I'm at work.... Yo, that song is hot, and that's all i'm gonna say bout it...
I aint got no top 5 this week, cause I've been on my Hip-Hop shit lately...My bad the hip-hop today is so lame that it's got me digging into my archives to pull out old ass albums to bump... Like:
Chronic
Doggystyle
Me Against The World
Capital Punishment..
& I even broke out Master P's "Ice Cream Man"!!!!
I know it's the wrong blog to post bout rap but,
that's how messed up rap is right now, that I have to go pull out old shit, cause most the new shit sucks, and the people in the game that are putting out fiyah music get no love on radio...
FUCK RADIO!!!!
