I happened to stumble unto a YouTube video of Fantasia's recent tribute to icon Patti Labelle at the recent UNCF "Evening of Stars"
I don't think it was intended to be funny, but I found it kind of amusing watching Fanny nearly go into convulsions trying to tear the song up. Now I just need you to tell me whether you think she tore it up in a good way or a bad way. Watch below:
Well?
For comparison's sake, check out Patti doing the song for the "Ellen" show:
I gotta be real with y'all. Fanny can't hang with Patti. Her breathing was off on this jammie. They both look kinda crazy with the dance moves though.
I could also compare this to the Lil Kim, Mya, Pink, Christina Aguilera version. I won't though.
Jennifer Hudson was spotted on the set of her video shoot for "If This Isn't Love" -- her first official day back on the job since tragedy struck. The video was reportedly scheduled to be shot months ago but, a spokesperson for Hudson later set the shoot was never set in stone

Here are a few stills from the shoot. Photo credit: Annamaria DiSanto. The video is scheduled to drop the week of February 9th, after Hudson's Grammy appearance.

Hudson will also be singing the National Anthem at this Sunday's Superbowl game. Best of luck to her!
Remember that Rick Ross/John Legend song I told you guys about? Well it leaked last night so I can now safely post it without getting in trouble. Have a listen:

That's it for now. Hope you enjoy. Happy Friday guys!

I am a HUGE fan of Patti LaBelle and have been since I was a little girl singing her songs in the living room with a hair brush. She's definitely one of my biggest artistic influences in my own music. That performance by Fantasia was ROCKIN!!! I loved it! I thought it was energetic and superb. YOU GO FANTASIA!!!
WHAT?!! That Fantasia performance BANGED!!! You must be trippin' if you can't tell that. Word.
You Crazy! fanny ripped that. I love her she does not care what people think. She sings from the heart and soul. No booty shakin can replace what this girl gives in performances. Check the comments on that youtube video. Other people may have better voices, but they can't give people chills all through their bodies!!!
@ B.Struck & Sexsee -- I can't concur with your comments enough! FANNY ROCKED THAT ISH!!! (can't wait till we do a collabo together lol lol)
Fantasia ATE that damn song!
THAT is how you pay tribute to somebody, Patti was loving every second of it.
Fantasia, did the DAMN thang! as much as i love Chrisette Michelle, i didnt like her first performance on that show! but DAMN Tasia did the DAMN thang twice!
