With President Elect Barack Obama being sworn into office tomorrow, Washington D.C. is alive with music and much of it will be available to see on television.

Last night, HBO aired their special We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial which featured performances from Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, will.i.am, Usher, Bruce Springsteen, U2, Stevie Wonder and Shakira interspersed with appearances from Jamie Foxx (who has improved on his Barack impersonation) Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington and Obama and the First Family among others. Check out some of the performance vids below:

Probably one of my favorite acts of the night was Mary J. Blige, who I thought sang the hell out of "Lean on Me", unfortunately the only footage I could find was from a viewing screen.

Many of Sunday's performers will also be part of the star-studded lineup at the official Neighborhood Ball Tuesday, which is being televised on ABC. Jay-Z, will.i.am, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Shakira, Sting, Faith Hill, Mary J. Blige, Stevie Wonder and Maroon 5 will all be there, with Beyonce singing for Barack and Michelle's first dance

"I am so honored that I will be performing for President Obama and the First Lady," Beyonce said via statement. "To sing 'At Last' while they have their first dance is a dream come true. I could not be more honored and excited that they have asked me to be part of this moment in history."

BET had their BET Honors event in D.C. this Saturday and one of music's most legendary divas served as a presenter.

The singer will be headlining music mogul Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy Awards Party on February 6. Houston will perform new songs off her forthcoming comeback album, that will be out in March 2009.

Happy MLK day guys! I'll be back later this afternoon before I head to the Hip-Hop Inaugural Ball and tomorrow I'll be checking out John Legend's performance at the BASE Inaugural Gala.
