No Inauguration Performance for Jennifer Hudson, Oscar Winner to Rest Until Grammy's

Jennifer Hudson will not be performing for the Obama inauguration after all. A rep for the Oscar-winning actress and "American Idol" alum has spoken out following rumors that Hudson would make her first appearance since the devastating murders of her mother, brother and nephew for the inaugural festivities.
As SOHH Soulful mentioned last week Jennifer was reportedly requested for President Elect Barack Obama's inauguration:
Organizers want Jennifer to sing 'The Star-Spangled Banner' at the Inauguration on Jan. 20. They are talking to Jennifer about it. It would be the first time she performed since the murders. She is from Chicago and a huge Obama supporter."
A spokesperson for Jennifer Hudson has released an official denial in response to those reports.
"There is no truth to this," the rep said.
Hudson sang the "Star Spangled Banner" for the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
As SOHH previously reported, Hudson's next performance is scheduled to happen on February 6th during Grammy Week at the MusiCares Person of the Year event in Los Angeles honoring Neil Diamond.Jennifer is also up for multiple Grammy nominations including "Best R&B Album" and "Best R&B Vocal Performance."
"It's been a childhood dream of mine to release an album, so to receive four Grammy nominations is truly a blessing," Hudson recently said in a statement. "I'm extremely honored and humbled by the nominations."
I'm praying for you Jennifer! She is truly an amazing talent and it's terrible that she's facing this painful situation during what should be the best time of her life as far as her career. Take all the time you need Jennifer.

WTF.....Can somebody in J. Hud's camp please tell her that this inauguration will be bigger then the crappy ass grammy's......This is going to be the biggest, most crowded inauguration EVER....If anything do the inauguration on skip on the fucking Grammy's....Jennifer we all hope that you will reconsider...

I can't image losing your mother, brother, and little nephew all at the same time and it must be hard for Jennifer Hudson to get back out there. However she has to get back out there and Inauguration is the best place to do it. Like someone said Inauguration is going to be bigger than the Grammys could ever be so I hope Jennifer Hudson would reconsider.
Take your time Jennifer. Obama has another 4 years and there will be another inauguration for him!
