My girl India.Arie is preparing to release her fourth album Testimony: Vol.2, Love & Politics. You may or may not have heard her first single "Chocolate High" ft. Musiq Soulchild which is currently all over the radio -- and of course I have a streaming link for you to take a listen.
I was just about to say India is bringing neo-soul back, but apparently Miss Arie prefers to call her signature sound "acoustic soul." Guess that works too.Testimony: Vol. 2 was produced by India.Arie, Novel (who I posted about last week, remember???), Dru Castro, and more. This album is the follow up to Arie's 2006 album, Testimony: Vol. 1, Life and Relationship. Did you know that album debuted at #1 on Billboard Top 200 when it came out in 06? I sure didn't. TESTIMONY: VOL. 2, LOVE & POLITICS drops via UNIVERSAL REPUBLIC on February 10th, 2009.
Universal Republic is also doing the simultaneous single thing (like Beyonce and Joe Thomas did earlier this year) releasing two singles from the album. The radio track is "Chocolate High," featuring Musiq Soulchild and the second track is called "Therapy."

Miss Keyshia Cole had a very interesting interview with Hot 97's Angie Martinez and Funkmaster Flex. It's a must watch. I guarantee you'll be entertained. She talks about her breakup with Jeezy, the aftermath in the press, her family and her bad look at the Oscar De La Hoya/Manny Pacquiao fight.
Props to her for being mature, positive, and a good interview. She really could've been more like Brandy and answered questions with more questions.

Ashanti is still pushing The Declaration... She also visited Angie Mar, and they talked a lot about Playboy. I won't spoil it for you. Watch below:
Yeah, I guess Hef noticed somebody got a lil thick too. She seems like a nice girl but I cringe to hear Ashanti laugh...
Feliz Navidad to the ladies of Nina Sky! Nicole and Natalie were nice enough to send me their new Christmas mixtape and hey, I'm nice enough to share it with you. Download link below:

Love those girls -- really feeling their new single "On Some Bullsh*t" right now...

I don't know why Ashanti is pushing "The Declaration" it got release a long time ago. As far as sales it did all it can do and won't do anything else.
I like Keyshia Cole but I don't like her new album. It such in the opposite direction and I can't stand it. Couldn't find one song that stick out to me. Keyshia Cole was good in the interview because just like all DJs those assholes were trying to bring up old events and start stuff. But that's what they do. Maybe that's why Brandy felt the need to answer dumb ass questions with questions.
