VERSUS Double Duel Edition: Beyonce VS. Boyz II Men's Shawn Stockman, Rock City VS. Trey Songz

This week Shawn Stockman dropped his own version of Beyonce's "If I Were A Boy" so I figured what better match for VERSUS. It's been a minute since I did one of these, so I figured I'd double up and bring you two battles today...
First up to bat is the "Paper Planes Remix" Battle featuring Trey Songz and R. City.

I love Trey Songz' voice and his creativity in the song but I have to give it Rock City (VI MASSIVE!) their harmonies are amazing and their songwriting is just superior to anything out today. Between Beyonce and Shawn's songs, I don't know if it's just gender bias or what but I don't connect with Shawn's whining *cough* I mean song as much as beyonce's song...
Honestly, I have to go with both remixes for 'Paper Planes'. One is more street and the other have a political favor to it and as far as the 'If I Were A Boy' hands down Ms. Bee. She commands the attention with her voice. Shawn makes the song so sad. He is very whinning in this song 'not a good look.' I like Shawn voice but not for this song.
Yawn.....I got sleepy after a minute into the song!
Hating Beyonce's screaming and her audacity to state what she would do in shoes she could never fill. Major respect to Shawn for delivering the male perspective very, very well.
