Solange

Solange is moving up in the world. Last night the eccentric songstress showed up on the ABC Family show "Lincoln Heights" to perform for their prom episode.

Watch below:

And before y'all get all stannish on me, yes I know she starred in "Bring it On 8" or whatever that dang straight to dvd cheerleader movie was.

Since we are on the topic of "Lincoln Heights," I'm also posting the EPK for Mishon, the teen actor who plays the character "Tay" on the show. He's a new Interscope artist who is quickly growing on me.

Keyshia Cole

Last night was the premiere of the new season of Keyshia Cole's BET show "The Way It Is" so my behind was parked in front of the television at 10 p.m. for two back to back episodes. As usual Keyshia's former addict mom Frankie was acting a damn fool, beefing with her daughter Neffie in the first episode and then beefing with Keyshia's foster mother Yvonne in the second episode and Keyshia was getting all upset about it... She kept saying "When is my life going to change?"

Honestly Keyshia, when you tell your cracked out Mama to get the EFF on, things will probably improve greatly.

I was also pleased to watch the show from Def Jam's new version of the Jackson 5 -- "Brothers to Brutha" which came on immediately after "The Way It Is" on BET. Brutha has to be one of the corniest names I've ever heard for an R&B group, but the young men, who are actually brothers, can sing their asses off.

Here's a clip of what "Love Lockdown" would sound like if Kanye wasn't AutoTune dependent:

I interviewed Brutha not long ago and planned to post the Q&A in time for the premiere of the show on November 18th, but uh, wouldn't you know BET aired that ish last night. Funny how their website still says the show starts November 18. It was bittersweet watching them because recently deceased Def Jam executive Shakir Stewart was all over the episode.

Look forward to my Q&A with Brutha soon!

Ne-Yo

Ne-Yo fans are also in for a special TV treat. According to PEOPLE magazine Rosie O'Donell has called on the Def Jam singer/songwriter for her upcoming variety special "Rosie Live." The one-hour special will be in the variety show format reminiscent of "The Carol Burnett Show" featuring both comedy sketches and musical numbers. Both Ne-Yo and Alanis Morissette will perform live from New York's Little Shubert Theatre. The program airs the night before Thanksgiving, November 26 on NBC.

Rebel I'm glad you put Keisha's mom on blast and not me...Keyshia's mom is so damn immature. If that were my mom, I would be so damn embarrased. I guess years of crack smoking will fuck your brain up and still have you acting like a fuckin child. What right did she have to argue w/Keyshia's foster mom...I mean the lady deserves the respect being that she did what Keyshia's biological mom was suppose to do....Keyshia's mom ain't gonna change and she may still be getting high on the side.. Cause she sure damn acts like it. Keyshia's mom is a discrace to all black mothers. The sad thing is, there are so many mothers out there just like her, who have thrown themselves away to crack...Ughhh...

OH AND UHHH!!!! I JUST WANT TO PUT SOHH "RECKLESS" ON BLAST....DIS NIGGA WILL DELETE YOUR COMMENTS AND NOT POST THEM IF HE DOESN'T LIKE EM..FUCK RECKLESS, HE MUST BE GETTING A SIDE CHECK FROM G-UNIT....HE WOULD NOT POST MY COMMENTS ABOUT TONY YAHO....SO I'M GOING TO POST THEM HERE.. YaHo needs to go sit down somewhere with his old ass. This nigga is the biggest dyck ryda in the game. You lame as fuck to talk about how another nigga may loose his house when you don't even have a crib in your name. You know Fif bought you a crib, with his name on the note, provided that push the number of units to eventually pay for the home. As a matter of fact, you don't even have a crib, you just stay w/that nigga. How lame is that. Drama King, why did you even feel it was relevant to interview this nigga??? How is YaHo relevant in today's Hip-Hop. Oh yeah, cause he's suckin 50's dyck...What 40 year old man do you know that goes around slapping teenagers??? Where dey do dat at. If that were my kid, you would of had some thuggs show up at ya studio to handle this being that u ain got no house nigga. Old ass niggas still talking like girls and hitting children. YaHo, you need to kill yo self...Real Talk...You gets no respect in the hood and you know
