Usher Gives Back! Is Kelly Rowland His New Boo? Plus Janet Still Loves The Little Guy

Usher's been actively involved in this year's election, leading youth rallies, organizing voter registration drives and participating in voter registration PSA's for Leonardo DiCaprio, DoSomething.org, CNN's League of First Time Voters, The Barack Obama Campaign and his own New Look Foundation. In January 2008 Barack Obama asked Usher to serve as National Co-Chair for his voter registration campaign with national leaders including Civil Rights icon Rev. Joseph Lowery.

 "'Hush' is about my awakening over the past 10 years to the social issues in our country and realizing that I have a voice," Usher explained via statement. "As Americans we have the right to speak out about slow recovery in the Gulf Coast, a long war and home foreclosures. But complaining isn't enough, you have to also take action. Whether serving at the homeless shelter or going to the polls for the first time, you have to act or else 'Hush.'"


Powerful indeed... Wonder if his wife Tameka got the memo though? Seems that the grapevine is running rampant with rumors that Usher has taken up with Kelly Rowland, and Mrs. Tameka Foster-Raymond herself is behind the stories.





BlackVoices columnist Jawn Murray recently spoke about receiving a call from a "friend" of the Raymonds who gave him details of an alleged affair between Usher and an unnamed female singer who has been spending a lot of time overseas as of late. The buzz surrounding the column is that the caller was hinting at the singer being Kelly Rowland and that Mrs. Raymond is actually the mastermind behind the call. Whoa. I bet Usher wishes his wife would just "Hush." Okay, bad joke. I hope everything works out for the best though. The couple is expecting their second child this winter.





Mini-mogul Jermaine Dupri is back at it again with his "Living the Life" YouTube series. In this episode Jermaine yuks it up backstage with girlfriend Janet while the two refute rumors of a split, specifically a split over him getting sick in her lap.
