It's that time again! There is lots of good music out right now but there's only a few songs catchy enough to get caught in my head. This week Beyonce, Musiq Soulchild, Keyshia Cole, Santogold and Britney Spears have caught my attention. Check out the songs and feel free to list the five you can't shake below.
Beyonce "Single Ladies"
"If you like it you shoulda put a ring on it!" Y'all can't possibly be surprised - it has been a very Beyonce week after all. I'll be honest, I don't really like this song BUT it is embedded in my head!
Musiq Soulchild ft. Mary J. Blige "If U Leave"
"You think I'm so full of it, full of it..." I must've repeated that line like twenty times yesterday. Musiq's songs are just undeniable. This is one I don't mind having on repeat in my mind.
Keyshia Cole ft. 2Pac "Playa Cardz Right"
This one ain't so much stuck in my head as much as just stuck on repeat on my iTunes. It's not like anything else out so I keep actually wanting to remind myself what it sounds like again. I still haven't figured out exactly what this song is about, but Keyshia blows it down as always. Happy Belated Birthday KeyKey! (She turned 27 yesterday guys!)
Santogold "Unstoppable"
My theme song of the moment! Ay ay ay ay! Santogold is killin' it right now -- this is the kind of song that can kick you out of a funk IMMEDIATELY.
Britney Spears "Womanizer"
Britney's back biotches! I realize this is a controversial pick for the Soulful blog, so sue me, my name is Soul Rebel for a reason. Truth of the matter is, while I was deciding between the final contenders I just had to admit that "Womanizer" sticks with me much more than Keri Hilson's new single "Superhuman" and Ciara's "Go Girl". So Britney is here to stay.
