This week's edition of 5 Songs I Can't Get Out of My Head is inspired by the 2008 BET Hip-Hop Awards, airing tonight on BET.  Not everyone was a nominee but in some cases, I really felt they should have been. Feel free to list your on 5 songs as you see fit.

Plies ft. Ne-Yo "Bust It Baby Pt II"

This was definitely one of my favorite songs of '08 -- Nominated for Best Collabo, this is one song I can never resist singing along with. Plies and Ne-Yo performed it for the awards and Ne-Yo was at his absolute TANGIEST. I try my damndest to give him the benefit of the doubt but the man is one sweet thing onstage.

 Monica ft. Ludacris "Still Standing"

Monica was at the awards this weekend to support her fiance Rocko. She looked fabulous and was an absolute picture of grace. I absolutely love her single -- it took me some time but this is one I can play over and over.

Rick Ross ft. Nelly & Avery Storm

Nominated for the Alltel Wireless People's Choice Award, this was actually an audience favorite when Rick Ross (Like Sauce) and Avery Storm got onstage to perform. I'm semi ashamed to admit I thought T-Pain was on the track until I saw Avery Storm up onstage.  Whoops!

T-Pain ft. Ludacris "Chopped and Skrewed"

It would be extra wrong for me not to show some love to T-Pain, who did a damn good job as host for the evening. BET showed him mad love with his performance, as you'll see soon enough most of the performances were no frills (no fire, no hot ass dancers, no contortionists) but not T-Pain. I gotta give the man credit for keeping things interesting.

Musiq Soulchild ft. Mary J. Blige "If You Leave"

I actually do think Musiq is so full of it and kinda arrogant but this is a beautiful song, period. Musiq performs with Ice Cube for the Awards show --- you probably won't be able to hear him, I know I couldn't. I also couldn't see his 4'11 ass sitting in my chair with the extra weavalicious lady bobbing her head in front of me.

Bonus: T.I. ft. Ludacris & B.O.B. "On Top Of The World"

The show opener that almost brought the house down, ATL's two biggest stars finally got it together -- but I was most proud to see my boy B.O.B. getting some shine for singing the hook. Make sure you don't turn into the show late, you won't want to miss this one.

Aight y'all, those are my 5 this week! What are yours??? Talk to me y'all!!!
