Raphael Saadiq just premiered his video for "Love That Girl". It's aight I guess. His love interest looks an awful lot like Joss Stone if you ask me. Watch for yourself though:
Raphael Saadiq's new album The Way I See It hits stores September 16 on Columbia Records. www.myspace.com/raphaelsaadiq for more info…
He's done pretty well for himself as an actor, with long running stints on "Whose Line Is It Anyway"? "The Wayne Brady Show" and "Don't Forget the Lyrics" but now Wayne is preparing for the release of his debut album A Long Time Coming, dropping September 16th . I talked a lotta smack about Terrence Howard crossing over to music, but I'm not gonna diss Wayne. I still remember his guest appearance on Dave Chappelle.
Besides that, singing has always been part of Brady's act so this isn't a stretch by any means. Aside from his covers of "Change Is Gonna Come," "All I Do" and "Can't Buy Me Love" Wayne wrote most of the songs on the album. Check out the feature his label put together on him:
For some reason, I feel way more compelled to buy this guy's CD than Terrence Howard's. Wayne Brady A Long Time Coming is due out September 16 on Peak Records / Concord Music GroupVisit the following websites for more information:

In other non-threatening black male r&b singer news… Ruben Studdard is the latest entertainer to get caught up for not paying his taxes.
According to MSNBC:
Ruben Studdard, American Idol winner and central tenant in Birmingham's proposed entertainment district, has been hit with federal and state property liens for allegedly failing to pay nearly $200,000 in state and federal taxes, according to court records. Studdard, a Birmingham native, owes the federal government $171,920 in unpaid income taxes, according to a lien filed in Jefferson County Circuit Court. He also owes $21,730 in state income taxes. The majority of Studdard's unpaid taxes stem from 2003, the year he won American Idol, and a $1 million recording contract. He owes $19,581 in state income taxes and $163,836 in federal taxes for the period ended Dec. 31, 2003, court records show. Byron Perkins, a Birmingham lawyer for Studdard, told the Birmingham News that his client is in good shape financially and can afford to pay the bill. Developer John Elkington said he's checking to find out if the liens on Studdard's property will affect the singer's promised six-figure investment in a planned downtown Birmingham club bearing Studdard's name.
I bet this is the last thing his newlywed wife was expecting after the honeymoon. Best of luck to them $200,000 is a gang of money. If he doesn't have the funds he needs to get Kelly Clarkson and Fantasia on the phone pronto for a fund raiser concert.
In preparation for his September 23rd release date, Joe Thomas is giving fans a sneak preview of "New Man" thanks to the following snippets. Click the links below to listen:
