The one thing I do have to say is that Solange does a damn good job of channeling Diana Ross. I knew she was going for a "Motown" feel but damn, we already saw Dreamgirls do we really need to see the Supremes perform in every video??? I just had to wonder how many times Solo watched the performance below.

She has her own following. Young girls that "think" they are into something they can barely fathom. lol Solange is cute. She can sing (better than her sister). But "depth" is not how'd I would describe her or her fanbase.
The white girls and countie brownies will go crazy over this.

Not a hater but Bey already did that Diana stuff in that Dreamgirls joint so I aint really feeling Solange like that. I thought she wanted to be different from her sister? Dont seem like it to me.
I agree for the most part. Solange need to step her vocal game up too.
WELL I LIKE SOLANGE AND I THINK SHE HAS STEPPED HER GAME UP. THE FIRST TWO SONGS ARE GREAT. AND BOTH OF THE VIDEOS ARE DIFFERENT, I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW U THINK THERE THE SAME. BUT I WILL AGREE WITH YOU THAT SHE HAS A BETTER VOICE THAN HER SISTER BEYONCE, AND NO IM NOT JUST SAYING THAT CAUSE I HATE BEYONCE.

i think some people just like to root for the underdog. anyone with good ears can hear that solange is not that great a singer.
hmm...I'd have to disagree with the comments here.
I'm a guy in his 30's and I can honestly say that I prefer listening to Solange than her sister.
Solange is a bit fresh. I like her style and musical influences are more varied.
And I should point out that every girl group since the Supremes have tried to do the Supremes, so what's wrong with Solange having a go at it. Besides that, her album was also co-produced by Mark Ronson who's responsible for helping Amy Winehouse current album become such a success and he's known to use the old Mowtown sound with the artists that he produces.
Solange, fresh, funky sound, Yes absolutely.
Beyonce, seen it, heard it, every song sounds the same as the last. Over it.
