Amy Winehouse fans are in for a special treat, the troubled Brit soul singer is reportedly working on a new album and Wino has found inspiration from one of Hollywood's most beloved musicals, The Wizard of Oz.
According to UK's Sun newspaper Winehouse has become obsessed with the 1939 musical, which starred Judy Garland to such an extent that she's actually sampled the 'Wicked Witch of the West' in a new track.
"She loves the surreal look, sound and score. One of her new songs heavily samples the theme tune, " a source told the newspaper.
Well it makes sense, they actually share a resemblance.
I love me some Amy but I don't know about this one. I'm hoping she can kick the crack habit and make a comeback.
In other UK R&B news, Estelle just dropped what has to be her third (or is it 4th) video for her Shine album, "Pretty Please (Love Me)". The song features Cee-Lo but he doesn't appear in the video. Jackie Long, Wynter Gordon, Taraji Henson and Aubrey from Danity Kane do though. Peep below:
I love it.

Why the fuck are we talkin bout this crack head ass bitch on the sohh website. Why does Sohh, even give her any light or attention at all. Do the people that frequest this site really care about her or her music. Maybe i'm wrong, but I still haven't heard 1 single song from this bitch. She must only be big in the UK, cause she gets no airplay in the US. SOHH, please refrain from giving her any media attention. She just needs to go curl up in a ball and die. Fuck outta here. Black folk don't care bout her.

Well I'm black and sorry B, her music can't be fronted on. "Rehab" isn't really indicative of her body of work. The album she blew off of, "Back To Black is dope and her first "Frank" might even be better. I could be wrong but I think the majority of her fans are in the Black community, much like Teena Marie. I'd take her over 97% of US R&B artists. Her last album went multi-plat, which usually only happen to UK artists if they sell here in the states. Just my 2. Peace
If you want to know why Black folks DO like her, I would suggest hearing, "In My Bed", You Sent Me Flying", "Some Unholy War", "He Can Only Hold Her" and "Wake Up Alone"
You'd be wrong. Amy's fanbase is solidy white. Like Uncle Ben's Rice. We (read: you) got on the bandwagon late. Go to her concert and find out for yourself.
Me? I don't help people pay for their drug addictions. And I certainly don't support people that make funny little songs about Black people.
First 90% of hip hop makes funny songs about Black people, only we make it sound cool by callin "hardcore" or "gangsta". Second, how do you know what people are doing with their money? If you buy albums how do you know those artists aren't shootin up or smokin crack? Her problem is just out in the open. Just because her concerts are all white doesn't me nobody else likes her. If that's the case hip hop's fanbase is "solidly" white. I know a lot of people (black) that dig her music. I can't help if I only heard of her last year, I got her joint before I knew anything about her, I heard her on Ghostface's joint, found she had an album out,got it and I liked it. Shoot me
