Prince is who Michael Jackson wanted to be, tried so badly to be and failed at being.

If you compare the catalogs, at face value, I could see how some may say that Michael held his own, but when you really start to break MJ's songs down, they are pop garbage and rarely have substance. That's not to say that MJ didn't break grounds as an artist, how could I take that away from him?

My daughter loves MJ, so I spend a lot of time listening to his music and after being subjected to one too many "THRILLERS" and "BEAT IT"s I began to see his music as goofy. Just listen for yourself and compare your favorite Prince songs to your favorite MJ songs and maybe you'll come to the same conclusion (music wise at least).

As far as looks go, I mean if MJ wasn't trying his best to look like the fairer skinned Prince, from hair to style, then he must have been trying to look like the woman that prince was trying to look like. And that's not a knock on either of them. I guess the blurred gender type of dress was par for the course during those times if you take a look at acts like Boy George, Wham, Eddie Murphy and on and on...
