Am I the only one or is he looking like George Michael's love child to anybody else?
For all those bellyaching about where "real music" has gone -- Lalah Hathaway is coming with her 5th album Self Portrait June 3rd via Concord Music Group and she says she can feel your pain.
“I don’t necessarily want to fit into what’s happening now,” Lalah says of today’s marketplace, “but I want to stand with it, on my own thing. I would really love it if people need the record. I put a lot of myself into this album, so I hope people can hear me and understand who I am.”

Lalah is the daughter of the legendary Donny Hathaway for those of you who don't know.

Looking forward to Lalah Hathaway's new album. I've been a fan of hers since the beginning. Her sister Kenya Hathaway is a backup singer on the American Idol show. Of course their legendary father, Donny (R.I.P) left behind an impressive catalog of music for the ages. All hail the Hathaway family!!
I jam out to that Lalah Hathaway "Let Go" track all the time. She's dope to me. I'll definitely be checking for her album.
I'll pass on Craig David. I checked out his new album today and lost interest. I hope he does well though cuz he's talented. I think it's the music production that killed it for me.
Ryan Leslie is a good producer. His beats are cool enough to make me listen to the non-singing sensation that is Cassie. The jury's still out on him being an artist though. I wish him well.
I'll defintely be checking for the Lalah Hathaway album. I've liked her since "Heaven Knows."

I like Craig David, but I'm not feeling "Hot Stuff." So the jury's still out on his new CD. His albums "Born To Do It" and "Slicker Than Your Average" were pretty good though.

As for Ryan Leslie, IDK. He's a dope producer, but as an artist, I'm still not convinced. But we shall see...
I dont now where you've been living but that "Hot Stuff" aint new... It's been out since last November.... you're really late
Love Donny Hathaway's music, he should get more recognition as in hiphop everybody sampled him. Craig David looks like a soccer player. He's got voice but needs better songwriters, reach outside of his comfort zone. Him and George Michael are both English Jews, but Michael could only have butt-babies (Careless Whisper's a classic, though).
