Vids Kelly Got that Comeback, Chris Brown Wants to Take You Down

Where are my Kelly fans at? I got that "Comeback" video for you

Kinda sexy. Wonder what the budget was for this photoshoot? I used to think folks were just talkin ish when they said Kelly gets treated like a stepchild but on further examination that ish is true! She doesn't even get extras for this video. I mean damn, when Beyonce did her re-release that ish had like four new videos included. It was a production. Granted, Beyonce is a guaranteed seller right? What do you guys think tho -- is the label just doing what makes sense financially by limiting Kelly's re-release to digital only and keeping the new vids to basics? Or is she getting the short end of the stick???

Here's some concert footage of Chris Brown performing "Take You Down" off his Exclusive album

This ish made me slightly uncomfortable watching, I'm sorta joking but I do feel slightly perverted watching this very young man perform this very very provocative dance. Is this stuff really safe for kids these days? I mean damn, is R&B the reason they're now saying 1 in 4 teenage girls has an STD??? Maybe we should stop taking them to Chris Brown and Pretty Ricky concerts. What do you think?

Talk to me y'all!

  • I do think Kelly's treated like the stepchild. From subpar songs (written by Solange), to poor single choices, to lack of promotion, I think the Knowles family sabotages this girl like it's their job.
I don't think this song will do well... even though it has a better chance than Ghetto I think. I still contend that Put It In (Work) should be released as a single here... and not the Freemason's Remix of it either.

  • I loves me some Miss Kelly and this video is cool like that. Aside from all of the 'behind the glass' bizzo Kelly reps hard! She looks HOT...the track is SLAMMIN'...and she is FIYA in this video. One question: why they put all that sparkly bullshit on her vids? 'Done it on Ghetto & they done it on Comeback...it plays down Kellys quality - WTF up with that? Kelly aint gettin the production support she deserves - but she makes the best of what she got! And she makes the video worth the watch. Hey Kellz...look for better production...find better management - you're larger than this baby!!!

The only thing I'm gonna say 'bout Chris Brown's video is that RNB female artists have been marketed and shot (video) wearin' next to nothin and shakin they shit for a while now with few complaints from viewers...'guess this dude is feelin' that confident to do pretty much the same? Funny...the track and video reminds me of that R. Kelly back in the 'Bump'n'Grind' era. Now R. Kelly is that dude who makes me feel a lil...I dunno...things that make ya go hmmmm. Cool track from Chris tho.

  • I completely disagree with your Chris Brown concert, he's an unbelievably talented artist who i personally feel these days, isn't getting the respect he deserves! He is 18 now for goodness sake and i think he should have the freedom to be able to express himself creatively, why should he not be able to explore all aspects of his life he feel comfortable sharing? He is turning into a man and people need to understand he is not the same 16yr old boy he was 2 years ago, so let the boy live his life and do his thang!

Young girls love him true, but there is alot of adults who listen to his music too, and he should be allowed to cater to all audiences.

  • This video looks like it was done on the same day as Ghetto and Work with the same props and editing. smh. The song is pure album filler but its better than Bump Like this. Kelly needs to take some of the blame...she might have all the raw ingedients for a huge star but she just doesn't know how to give the people something hot (unlike Bey). She should scrap this embarassing re-release and take notes from Michelle

  • Good Morning:
Why does everyone hate on Kelly like that. what more do you want from her. I don't get it. I think that the video is great. do you want Kelly to be like B. that not good. Kelly is doing herself. I think that it is everyone else. you are use to one way instead of getting to know another people and there kind of music. just listen to Kelly and other performances and you will see that they sound just as good as anyone else. Give a person a change. and stop putting people down so much. because if you could sing why don't you just come out with a cd. because kelly can sing. you just want her to be B. and that is not going to happen. now just vote her on on of the station and video show sow we can see her video. and that comeback is a good one. are you jeoulous or what.
everyone here have a good day.

  • Kelly Rowland only needs to look in the mirror to figure out who has sabotaged her career. I'm tired of people blaming Matthew Knowles for the decision of a GROWN-ASS WOMAN. An artist is ultimately responsible for the success or failure of her project. Kelly put a song out(Like This) it got some burn and then her album flopped. Thats on her. She should be smart enough to move on if she doesn't like the direction of her career. I could see if she was a minor but again she is a GROWN ASS WOMAN. Stop making excuses for her she just doesn't make good music and has failed to convince consumers to buy it.

  • I feel sorry for Kelly sometimes. To be in the shadows of an artist like Bey can't be easy. She will always be #2. But I do agree with most folks on here that say she needs to take control of her own career and stop sitting in the back seat just for the ride. I feel if Bey doesn't bring DC back together, 10 years from now no one will even know a Kelly Rowland. Which is sad since she was #2 in one of the most successful all girl groups in music history.

  • Kelly is not being sabbatoged or wronged in any way, The Record Label nor did Matthew Knowles didn't pay for Beyonce's extra videos when she did her re release she paid out of her own pocket because she didnt get a budget from the record label she did the whole B Day album out of her own pocket she paid for herself remember that's she was able to hide the album from her father if yall haters did ya research before commenting you would know that.. But of course when all else fails blame it on Beyonce and her entire family

  • bla bla all you us people do is talk down people, granted the label didn,t market this chick well, matthew knowles should have done sthing about it, but she did a fantastic album with the budget she was given, she was snart to release work all over the world xcept us look how well it did, daylight is now no1 on mtv base and i bet comeback will do very well everywhere else apart from the states she is releasing the album physically in the uk on may 12 and the cover is hot.
so blab all you want she is making good money elsewhere so.....
she probably has learnt her lesson

  • Kelly really needs to pull a "Control" like Janet and take charge of her career. "Like This" was a banger, it just didn't get the promotion it deserved. The radio barely played it. She should have been grinding making sure her single got the airplay it deserved.

Her follow up single shod have been "Still In Love With My Ex". That was a guaranteed hit, but they never released it. You have Mathew Knowles telling Kelly what to do, and she won't stand up for herself. She basically just does whatever he tells her.

Kelly is beautiful and so talented. She has all the makings of a star, except for drive and assertiveness. She's a grown ass woman and can make her own decisions, but I really think she needs to break away and get new management. She also needs to stop going to Beyonce for advice on all her material. I don't think the Knowles' want to see Kelly fail. I have no doubt that they want her to be successful. They just don't want her to as successful as Beyonce.

  • man im sooooooo sick of the "poor kelly" comments... kelly is not steering her career in the right direction herself, she is to blame... also, like someone mentioned, bey paid for some of her own videos cuz the label wouldnt pay for them but some of the misinformed want to blame bey for kelly's lackluster career, come on people, there are only so many chances one can get in this business and she has already had too many... michelle is on her grind and has always been able to separate herself from destiny's child, why hasnt kelly been able to do so?

  • this is a smart move cd's aren't moving for anyone ,all these hot for the moment rappers doing the same numbers she and beans did now yall know the artists has to payback have those promo costs and vids so if you don't recoup u in the red so she has a better chance of gettin money in her pocket.jay, matthew (who i don't care for) ,beyonce etc. has nothing to do with the fickleness of the record non-buying public.

  • That Kelly Rowland video is nice. To bad it won't be shown like Beyonce's videos are because she not the daughter of her manager. However I'm not just going to blame the label, I'll blame her too because she could of been took the wheel on her career but she won't do it.
