Janet + CiCi = Feedback Remix Video On The Way

Here's a little Monday morning gossip for you... Apparently viewers will soon have a chance to peep out whether all the Janet/Ciara swagger jacking digs are worth any weight.
The ladies are reportedly planning to make a video for the "Feedback" remix with Ciara. Since the Ciara version was released, the song has climbed into the top 20 on Billboard's Hot 100 and is currently #2 on the Dance charts and #5 on iTunes. Sources say Def Jam will be re-releasing the song to radio.
For those who haven't heard it yet, check below:
I think it sounds pretty hot -- and oh yeah obviously that's a fan-edited video not the official joint, but it's nice to see them together regardless...

What the fuck are you talking about? The song climbed the charts because of Itunes sales. Digital downloads have been increasing steadily, not radio spins. Get your facts straight potna..

Niether the remix OR the original is getting any attention at radio! As a janet fan I can tell you that I'm am happy to see JJ get any attention on radio these days and if it takes Cici to do it so be it. But The truth of the matter is the song only climb to #19 on the charts because of itunes sells and video rotation. All you have to do is check Mediabase to no that "feedback" gets no love at radio other than on the all Dance stations (basically the gay radio stations) . Luckily for Janet, people actually liked the song, (even though radio won't play it), and they decided to purchase it online.
The song has been one of the most Downloaded songs on the internet for weeks, yet radio won't even give it any play. Then yall wonder why Janet fans say she's being blacklisted at radio. This shit don't add up.

The remix is unofficial and can't even be purchased at itunes! Most folks ain't even heard it yet! So how are they downloading the rimix? People are downloading the ORINGINAL version! The song has sold more than 300,000 copies online alone. Basically the the has been purchased more than the album! Yet radio still won't show janet any love.
It seems....gimicky. I'll wait untill I see the video, but it sounds cheesy. Sigh...does anybody remember the days when gimicks WEREN'T the norm to sell records?

Wow. You guys are really crazy... I've said it before and I'll say it again -- Reading is Fundamental. I personally never said Ciara was to thank for Janet's jump -- timing wise -- yes the song has done better since the release of the remix but please believe I have zero hate in my heart for Janet.
OH and BTW while you were busy bashing me I've been on the phone with Billboard getting to the heart of the matter. The stans are right - Feedback is up thanks to the album release and digital downloads -- however the Ciara fans also have a good point -- the song is up slightly at radio which could be an indication of a boost from the remix...

The idea of a joint video where this song is concerned would be a waste of time and money if you ask me. Regardless of how well the song may be doing on the charts now, I think it would be ridiculous for Janet to create a new remix video for Feedback when a new video for the latest release (RWU) just aired last week. Keep moving forward not backward. Even if this song was to hit #1 (remix or not) I dont think it makes sense to go back now and make another video for it.

Feedback's better chart position has nothing to do with this shitty remix. It's due to the fact that Janet has been included on MTV again and she has been on every show under the sun in the past two weeks. It doesn't take much journalistic know how to see that. So while you're on the phone with billboard, all you had to do was open you eyes. Also, stop tryna act like you didnt imply that the Ciara remix didnt bump up the chart position.

The Evolution was the number 1 album in December 2006 beating Gwen Stefani and Eminem who were released the same week.
Goodies was number 1 in the US and the UK in 2004.
And Ciara is only 2 albums deep.

I like Ciara but those stats are okay. Ciara's 2nd album had horrible single choices and poor videos (except Promise). She downspiraled after the 1st album. Its usually should be the opposite. Her first album sold more than her 2nd.

Def Jam continues to eff up in my book. The fact the Rihanna took a year to go platinum b/c they chose shut up and drive as the second single was already enough to convince me that they don't know what they're doing. Luv is getting more airplay than any Janet song out right now. She needs to create some momentum for that single. Itunes helped feedback go up but I think we've seen its peek. Ciara's remix didn't do anything for the single a month ago, I don't see how it could help now.

I hear what you are saying. But "Rock with you" will be an international smash and Janet Needs International sales to further enhance her SuperStar Power. It's already #3 on JAPAN HOT 100 and the video just came out. "Luv" is giving the buzz to the urban markets and that will do very well in the U.S. Feedback is still getting momentum and I think it will be in top 10 next week!
Ciara beat out Eminem and Gwen Stefani for number 1 selling well over 300,000 in the first week. That's hella good. Selling albums is really hard to do these days when ppl can get it for free. If you can get a million ppl to pay for something they can get for free in this economic climate you gotta be doing something right.
