Danity Kane Album Drops, Has Bad Boy Entertainment Gotten Better or Worse?

I'd say Danity definetly destroys Total, but in no way will Day 26 beat out 112 now or ever...they just made way too much noise and got way too much respect. Between them, Jagged Edge, and Dru Hill, I'd say they are the best R&B group of the 90's (and Jodeci).

I like Total and "Kima, Keisha, Pam" was my ISH!!!!! But I gotta give it to Danity Kane becuase they can actually sing. Faith Evans all day everyday!!!!!! She is the bomb and can't no female mess with her vocally to me!! She is so underrated!

Are you serious? There is no comparing Danity Kane to Total nor can you compare Bad Boy of today to that of yesterday. Danity Kane are better singers than Total - but that's it. Total's music and swagger shits all on Danity Kane. Back in the 90's Bad Boy could not be touched. They had the game on lock! This little bugglegum poppy artists they have today are weak. Biggie, Faith, Craig, Total, Mase, 112...they all released HITS and platinum and gold singles....w/o the help of mainstream or a reality show.

Total > Danity Kane. I haven't really jumped on the Danity Kane bandwagon, but they can sing. But Total had better music. I'm sorry.
Faith Evans > Cherri Dennis. I'm not EVEN going to put Cassie up with these two ladies. It's not worth it. I like Cherri, but Faye got this on lock.
112 > Day 26. I just don't get these boys. 112 all day baby.

Bad Boy was the shit back in the '90s. None of these artists on BBE's current roster can mess with Bad Boy between '94 and '98. Real talk.

Total vs. Danity Kane - Hard to compare an R&B group and a Pop group, but I think DK could be the most successful if Bad Boy stops ignoring them. As a grownup I'm not a fan of their music.

112 vs. Day 26 - I'm a grown a$$ woman who considers herself to be Day 26's #1 fan, but I got to be real. They have nothing on 112. 112 is a true group, not a group of lead singers. Slim played the lead most of the time, but you don't think of him as the leader. They are truly a group who tones match and blend perfectly. Day 26 is still functioning like lead singers and the lack of cohesion is obvious. They could be as good as Jodeci, but their tones don't match well enough to be a 112 or Boys to Men.

I agree- the Badboy of old, you're talking about Faith Evans who is vocally bananas and so soulful. Not one chick on badboy can compete with her. 112 had a distinct lead singer- Slim and the are definitely more seasoned. Now Total and Danity Kane are like apples and oranges so I can say. But let's not forget Carl Thomas. No male on the Badboy label now can touch him either. It all comes down to raw talent and there's nobody like that on the new roster, I don't think.

Danity Kane's cd is good. Don't know if it's better than their first. If anything, the sound is more cohesive. But I definitely will pick this up. As for the competition, Danity Kane and Total shouldn't be compared. They are completely different lanes. Both are cute groups for completely different reasons. The rest are hands down wins for the Old Bad Boy.

You cant really compare the current Bad Boy with the Bad Boy of the 90's. But Danity Kane is much better group than Total ever was. None of Total could really sing, they were just fly and relatable. And they came out at a time when Bad Boy was hot and you didnt have to do to much to go platinum. Bad Boy ran the industry back then, there roster was like no other. There roster these days is very thin and weak. I think Cheri Dennis, Danity Kane, and Day 26 can make some noise though.

these comparisons are unnecessary but i think the groups from back in the day shit on anything recent on bad boy... im also a lil bothered by the fact that u put cassie and cheri versus my girl Faith, as if those two had to potential to be better... yall kno faith beats both cheri and cassie hands down!

I enjoy Danity Kanes' music...I just believe that being affliated with Diddy at this moment can hurt them much. As far as comparing them to Total...that's like comparing Ciara to Aaliyah, it's no comparison at all being as Aaliyahs' more beautiful and can actually sing. Ciara is just 'here'...it's hilarious how many people can become celebrities for nothin really. I mean, what had either group done for us lately...I didn't think so...

The success of groups like Total and 112 are part of the reason these singers wanted to work with Diddy in the first place. If anything, that's what I wanted this post to serve as a reminder for.

Total and DK are definitely in two different lanes but if you look at them both there are some similarities -- primarily Diddy's emphasis on successfully marketing an image!

112 and Faith Evans set an incredible bar for Bad Boy and that's the challenge that Day 26 and artists like Cheri Dennis need to be trying to meet.

I never really knew Total and I don't want to know Danity Kane anymore so I'll choose Total.

112 is over Day 26, I mean Day 26 have good vocals but after last year making the band thing I got tired of them.

I like Cheri Dennis and feel she hasn't had her time to shine. I can't stand Cassie and feel she a waste on that label. Faith is something ,so I'll choose her.

I am the biggest Danity Kane fan in the world, but that does not mean total isnt the shit... they are. But you have to take into consideration how different the times changed in a decade. I dont think its fair to compare them.... Every artist knows that they are gunna have fans, haters, and people who dont even know who they are... it comes with the job, but i believe that Danity Kane has amazing talent, they work hard, and they can actually sing... there are a lot of female artists and groups that dont really have vocal talent. thats why i commend Danity Kane for being real. Total is awesome but their time has come and gone just like Danity Kanes will eventually. i dont think it is fare to compare two vocally different groups when they both are amazing. it doesnt really matter who has better songs b/c in the 90s ppl loved totals music and now in the 2000s Danity Kane is prefered... because they have the sound younger ppl would rather listen too(not all younger ppl... but majority...o and by the way Danity Kanes first album went platinum). as far as 112 and day 26... 112 is amazing but i really dont believe day 26 will make it, They have talent but thier egos are a lot bigger than the talent, im just not into it. You can't compare DK to Total, mostly because Total's vibe was what was "hot" back in the day. I'm 28, which means I was in my teens when TLC, Total and all of those female groups with similar vocals were hot. So, I think Destiny's Child was hot back in late 90's, DK is hot now, and in about 5 years, there will be another hot female group. But, not that it has anything to do with vocals, the one person who I am disappointed to see have let celebrity go to her head is Aubrey. I watched MTB4, and she has her head so far up her a**, at one point I had to forward through any parts with her in it talking about how great she is-- GET OVER YOURSELF! I like how the rest of the girls have maintained the same personalities as they had before they went platinum, and I'm only disappointed about how Aubrey decided to go the "pornstar look" route, instead of keeping her cute but sexy girl next door look. I'm glad Diddy made her tone it down. As for Day 26, I like their vocals, but I definitely don't consider them the 112 or Boys to Men of today...But, they are still talented, and hot :o)

DANITY KANE AND TOTAL ARE IN TWO DIFFERENT CATEGORIES. I LOVE DANITY KANE. THEY HAVE THE SEX APPEAL AND THE VOICES TO GO WITH IT. THEIR CD IS AWESOME AND I THINK THEY HAVE STAR POWER AND WIL BE AROUND FOR YEARS TO COME.

I have 2 give it 2 my girls Total, I loved them and still do... they had swag, good vocals, and excellent songs. Faith vs who?? Faith took that one, and 112 is definitely better than Day 26. I loved the old Bad Boy... it was good music and real talent... anybody can get a record deal these days. After 2003 they started handing out record deals & reality shows, in the 90's they sold records without the help of reality shows, just plain old touring, air play, and music videos. Total needs 2 come back.
