i agree, I'm not the biggest janet fan by far but as far as image goes, janet shits on mariah, janet knows how to be a little more "mature" with her outfit choices and it works out well cuz ppl still think shes sexy. Mariah is trying too hard to be youthful and relevant... her image wrong in more ways than one and this is why i will always miss the younger mariah. Her music was better, better vocals, etc...

It was aight. It's certainly not one of the worst videos I've seen. The video goes perfectly with the flow of the song. It's just great to see Mariah putting in down in the music biz again. Regardless of the vid, the song looks to be a smash.
I like the video! MC has a sense of humor which is something many artist lack. The song is fun and light, so the video should match that theme. But in all honesty, nobody I know, other than me, actually likes "touch my body". A lot of folks think its corny yet radio continues to play it. This goes to show that if you are popular enough radio will play your music regardless of audience response. Truth be told, more people liked "feedback" when it first came out then they do "touch my body", yet radio hardly played Janet at all.

The Janet haters far outweigh the Janet stans on this board. And if you think that Janet's image hasn't changed constantly over the years then you don't know shit about janet. Hell, janet's sound and image have changed so much over the years that many of her hardcore fans have abandoned her because she has strayed so far from her old style.

How many of you will get this wrong. The genius behind this video is that a seriously talented artist doesn't have to take themselves seriously to deliver and entertaining 3 minutes and 30 seconds of music in video form. Here is a piece of visual art that gives a major twist on a song that we had within one weeks time wrote our on take based on the lyrical content. She wasn't predictable and satisfy the already made video in your bird brains, she delivers a comedic performance (which is so much harder than sitting around being fierce) that captures your attention and you stay engulfed the entire time. All hail the new queen of pop. Mariah Carey has earned it. Funny to compare these comments to the Beyonce videos where she never has been able to pull of being funny or any other emotion besides diva dancer. but i guess you Video Soul fans won't Listen.
The video shows not only Mariah's sense of humor, but it also plays on people's perceptions of her. You know she wouldn't answer the door in her underwear, Feeding the dude marshmellows, and the unicorn? All hilarious. The song is doing incredibly well on radio, and will probably continue to do well. One thing I know about music is that the songs you hate you always manage to get stuck in your head. And by the way there is a full review of the album on VH1.com, and from what the reviewer said it sounds like she has a nice album.

Actually I was hear when "feedback" leaked and although there were some Stans in the mix many of the post were from regular visitors of the site, some of whom don't even like Janet, yet most gave "feedback" positive reviews. And are you really gonna tell me that "control" and "RN" sound just like "Janet." and "the velvet rope". I like the video! MC has a sense of humor which is something many artist lack. The song is fun and light, so the video should match that theme. But in all honesty, nobody I know, other than me, actually likes "touch my body". A lot of folks think its corny yet radio continues to play it. This goes to show that if you are popular enough radio will play your music regardless of audience response. Truth be told, more people liked "feedback" when it first came out then they do "touch my body", yet radio hardly played Janet at all.

To be honest with you. I like MC. And I own a few of her joints. And I do think she is deserving of all this success. Esp. having gone through what she did in the past where Glitter was concerned.
