R-Les is an amazing singer,songwriter, and composer. And J-Holiday is a hood nigga that came up from DC. Flush it. Nothing special, terribly repetitive. And these record labels need to stop these damn re-releases, because it's a waste of money. Why waste all this effort and time on artists who are clearly nothing special? Is J. Holiday going to last more than a year? No. Is a re-release going to help him? No, it'll just take up space on the shelves. Stop wasting money on these unoriginal people (*ahemrihannaahem*) and start spending it on the talented ones... or at least distribute the capital evenly!

Speaking of re-releases, I'm sorry to say it because I love her, but Kelly's re-release of Ms. Kelly is going to go absolutely nowhere. "Daylight" sounds like an overly pop B-side from the 90s. Come on! Do they really expect that joint to upgrade that album's status? Plus, Gym Class Heroes were out months ago. I love Kelly, and the album was decent... but if at first you don't succeed, dust yourself off and go straight back to the studio, don't keep on pushing an album that's going nowhere. Record labels are really dumbing it up these days.

I can't hear the Leslie song so I'll wait to comment on it later. On J holiday i don't think he should re-release his cd. He has a couple of good songs (4 maybe 5) on there but not good enough for a re-release. He just went gold and that's really good considering he's a new artist and hasn't had that much shine. And his first single was be with me. Which was a good song. I think his video's suck though. He's always alone in them and looking around. Where's the girl that he's always talking about?

Aight I've been hearing this joint on the radio and thought it was Tyrese and his alter ego Black Ty. Dude gotta a chnace to do something if only the people would give him a chance, can't wait to hear something else from dude.

The song is fire...it might become a hit because Sylvia Rhone has never been a good record executive who exhaust the best promotion out of her artists.

On the other hand, I have to give you MAJOR props for being a relevant music critic of today and give a nod to Herbie Hancock. I bet many of your readers don't know who is he or his biggest hit and groundbreaking video.

Actually, J-holiday's album is pretty good! He needs to get out ther and promote it. "Bed" was huge, yet he barely performed it live on talk shows and I can't think of one interview he did other than when he was on the big tigga radio show. "Be with me" is easily one of the best songs on the album and would have made a great second single, but its already been released. He should release "Thug commandments" and show people he can writes songs with some dept. he would also gain a stronger male audience.

1st off, I'm from DC and the only reason we play J. Holliday is cuz we have nobody else representing the DMV. Otherwise, he would be getting no shine time. Son is decent, but compared to Usher, Avant, type niggaz, he a gumshoe. For everybody who say dude is that yeah, think about this: the hit song "Bed" that everybody is soooooo in luv wit..... HE DIDNT WRITE THAT SHIT!!!!! Hate to bust bubbles, but Dream wrote that, so ask yaself is it hot cuz J. Holliday voice is good (No Homo) or do u fuck with the lyrics???? Would that joint been as nice if Dream sung it (And no I aint no Dream fan neither)???? At the end of the day, dude is a "thug" with a singing voice somebody at Capitol packaged up to capitolize on the R&B market and declining rap sales (like Chingy). So is there anything remarkable about dude..... Hell no. He aint no Raheem DaVaughn, aint no innovation there.

Listen to the songs J actually wrote on his album..He's one of the few R&B singers that I can relate too..Hes a humble and down to earth person..His problem is his mangament thats it, cuz his name isn't out there like that...And CB has nothing and I MEAN NOTHING ON J HOLIDAY

Rush it!!! J Holiday has an incredible voice, regardless of people who've stated otherwise. Y'all need to fall back with that crabs in a barrel mentality. One black man is making it, so the rest of us must pull him back down so NOBODY makes it out! What a shame. It's easy to criticize someone behind a computer screen, but how many of us are fulfilling our dreams like J Holiday or any other singer/entertainer? Support your own. I'd buy the re-release although I already have the original. Nothing wrong with showing him some love.
