For some reason, neither song really blew me away...i'm gonna listen a couple times more and see if they'll grow on me

but so far, LUV sounds like the better song

Sorry soul man I have to disagree with these songs I have heard thus far are average to horrible. Hope the album has more treats than tricks. However Janet will always be an icon.

Luv has The Dream written all over it - it sounds like his style. BTW - that's my fave out of the two but you're right - Rock With U is definitely a club banger, even moreso than Feedback.

I'm hoping this CD is a hit for her, but I still miss the Jam-Lewis-Jackson trio...

I think a lot of people who criticize Janet these days really were never big fans of her music to begin with. Janet has never really been straight ahead R&B. She's always be a hybrid of Dance, R&B and Pop. So if you're looking to Janet for a straight up R&B album then you're not going to find it. I can't hear the music because I'm at work but I can't imagine Janet working with all these hit makers and coming out with complete garbage. Some people won't janet to fail and when you want someone not to do good nothing they do (even if its decent ) will please you. I believe Janet has another classic in her, but she won't really achieve that goal until she goes back to Jimmy and Terry. They know how to get the best out of Janet because they created her sound to begin with.

I'm going to be buying Janet's new album on the 26th, but the real treat is going to be E. Badu. Sorry, but Ms. Jackson just can't compete!

Okay... now that I'm finished listening to the new Janet, I have to say that I hate both songs. I'm sorry but they're just not my style. Too pop, too techno. Let's hope the rest of the album is better.

LA is right ... folks who follow Janet know better. I like Rock With U best. And Erykah ain't on any new shit either for the record, that Honey shit sounds like all that other contrived neo soul bullshit she's done, fake hair and all. She is such a poser and folks fall for that shit. Janet ain't the be all and end all, but I'm a fan and she's no worse than any of these other hoes. It's just in fashion for folks to bash her.

OK...I just finished listening to the new tracks. I like to listen to 'em a few times before I make a judgement call.

Both tracks are cool...I'm leaning more towards "Luv." Cool...so far February's going to be a good month for music.

Janet and Erykah don't drive in the same lane musically so I don't see how the two can be compared. I like both artist and will support both but I can see that they're different. And I agree with ME that "Honey" is a good song, but nothing goundbreaking. Its a hot E. Badu track just like "feedback" is a hot JJ track.

Both Songs are good I don't understand why we are comparing Janet with any other artist Badu or Ciara or anyone else for that matter. Or why does her age matter folks need to stop hating and being overly critical. I hope the album is a smash to shut up all the haters.

Of course the blacks wouldn't like this. Rock wit U taps into a key segment of her fan base. Making music for the fans is what's important because they are going to the concerts. Prince doesn't sell records anymore either, but his concerts are packed with fans. That's where the real money is anyway. She doesn't need another hit record to go on tour, I hope she realizes that by now

ok I really like both songs by Janet, It seems like she took that club/house/ambient sound. These songs IMO are more reminiscent of Velvet Rope material. But I understand why her music does not appeal to the R&B heads b/c it's sound like it's for the clubs. I will still support her when the album comes out.

"Rock With U" is slick! The house groove perfectly suits her breathy vocals. However, I personally don't think this jam is a club banger -- it's too slow.

Let me say this first: These songs are a step up from Feedback. That being said, acknowledgment being shown, I still don't like these songs.

Both songs are pure fiyah! They're leagues ahead of Call on Me and So Excited. Rock with You is more my style, but Luv is hot and will probably do well on Radio.

Both of these tracks are hot!! This album seems to have a little something for everyone. "Rock with you" is more sophisticated for New York lounge/club atmosphere. "Luv" is more for urban radio play. I think Janet has done really good with this album so far. All three tracks are pretty good. I will definately buy the album.

People are so stupid with the age thing. Remember they did that to Tina Turner, Diana Ross, and Cher. All three women went on to break attendance records after the age of 40. If someone looks awesome and has the energy to give their best, I say go for it! Age is a number and you are not done until you quit. Some of Tina and Cher's records have yet to be broken. I love all three songs so far. Janet makes great music and will do great! I saw her on the Janet and All for you tours! What a performer! Go Janet!

It took about 15 listens before I liked 'Feeback' also. If radio does not support these songs with heavy airplay Janet will have a uphill battle on her hands.

Luv works for me... The first one jus had too much goin on... Why cant they grab Teddy Riley and Darkchild and Jimmy and Terry and get this girl back hot.?
