BREAKING NEWS: SOHH.com Blogger Dead-- Marking End of an Era

If you are a regular reader of this blog, then you know that today is SOHH Soulman's last day .
Yup y'all it's my last day. I started Soulful in August of 2005 and it went from being the underdog blog on a hip hop site to being the #1 ranked blog on SOHH.com. A lot of that was due to my insider information thanks to all my friends at the labels, but the main reason Soulful flourished is because of the readers and commenters.
Y'all are some of the dopest bloggers on the internet and if it weren't for y'all Soulful wouldn't have some of the most stellar moment it had. And for that, I thank you.
As for what's next for Soulman... I am gonna spend the next 18 months traveling internationally (Japan, Brazil, Ghana) and re-focus myself and my writing. I love urban entertainment but it's time for me to move on. One can only hate without conscious but for so long.

Soulman words can not express how much I am going to miss you. While I know I am known as the “troublemaker” on various SOHH blogs, I couldn’t have gotten as far as I have without you standing behind me battling it out with the SOHH gods.
We were a tag team, and its because of OUR hard work and dedication that has our blogs on the tips of peoples tongues. Our “blog hard or go home” mantra has elevated the game to unconscionable proportions. Whom ever takes your place better get with the program. The Soulman brought the goods. And he brought them consistently EVERY SINGLE DAY. You got some big shoes to fill.
To the Soulman; Nobody did it like you did. Good or bad, you always put your thang in it. I could only dream of being as good of a writer as you.
Peace King and much success to you. Maybe they'll let you do a guest blog oneday. So since you are leaving....lol....maybe there is some contact info you'd like to give a real hiphopper so he can get his foot in the door at SOHH.COM. (niggas always wanna hook up HAHAHA)
My favorite Soulman moments: Sunshine Anderson, Bobby Valentino, Lloyd, Ne-Yo, and the relentless updates on the Music World Family. Whatever happen to all those groups MK was pushing? SOHH will miss you, well at least it's unique visitors counter will. I came to SOHH.com to read your blogs and I will follow you around the world (myspace.com/ww4p.com) forever. I am surprised you haven't been nominated for Fierce Blogger of 07 or Blogger of Shade or The Truth Will Set You Free Blogger Awards. Oh you just did. What you have revealed and continued to show the industry is how it needs to look at itself. You are the music industry's man. However you reinvent yourself for your next venture, believe me, we will be watching, reading, or something to it!

I first came to SOHH in 2001 and then left for a while. Soulman's blog is what brought me back. Congrats to you Soulman and good luck in all your future endeavors!
