She sounds like they owe her for getting on the track. but honestly she's entitled to that opinion and thought because as artist you have to have a competetive mindset and she IS a woman. Hell even i allow my artist to say that they're great and number 1. Once again..I have to disagree with Kae.
The lead song to 20 YO had it been So Excited would have made a difference. Call On Me was a slow tempo track and that is not what the audience wanted from her after the Super Bowl scandal. They wanted a dance track. When COM didn't do so well people were quick to dismiss the entire album on a whole before it even leaked. I suspect Kae was one of these folks.
Kae you hate on JJ now so much that you are quick to dismiss everything Janet instead of using a little logic before spittin' the hate. All I can recall folks saying when So Excited dropped is that this should have been her first release. Especially given the fact that so many other artist was dropping dance tracks at around that same time (Summer 2006).
Khia is a hot steaming pile of ISH. Y talk all this mess now 2 years later. Virgin screwed up the whole project, Janet said she only had the support of the Urban department instead of the whole company. She did add sumthing to the song but talking reckless about the situation ain't gonna change it. Who knows maybe Janet would have threw her a bone when she goes on tour and had her come out on a few shows. Khia go back to performing your 1 barely there hit!

I find it amusing that Khia seems to think to the two or three words she added to "So Excited" MADE the whole song.

I don't even have to say anything, PageBlack. The obvious is out there for everybody to quit hidin' from. The WHOLE album was trash, and the sales and reviews attested to that. I'm just stating the obvious for the deluded of you....
Khia can STFU, cause SO EXCITED reached the TOP 50 in 10 countries, Top 40 in 7, Top 30 hit in 4, Top 20 in 5, Top 10 in 4, and #1 in 2 countries. The first # 1 they had was in Japan, second was on the U.S Dance charts. The way I look @ it is Janet not only payed the Bitch nice money, She gave her 2 # 1's world wide and money to even do a third album; due to the fact that Khia's second album (that came out b 4 her song w/Janet) still only sold 13k world wide. Khia go suck something please ,and shut up. Lets not forget that the 2 songs she had out after "My neck,my back," didn't even chart.
While I understand Khia's gripe; as her 16 bars does make "S.E." for me and many others. In my opinion Khia could have better approached the matter. I'm sure J wanted to use her in appearances/ performances as Khia would bring an added element/energy to the performances. However, J has Mass World-wide appeal and she's very media friendly; Khia, just isn't. If Khia wants to become relevant and reach any level of significant success she must work on her professionalism. Khia you NEVER, EVER discuss or become vocal about private matters with an artist such as Janet Jackson! Once you became vocal, IS when you became problematic to deal with; and quite Frankly you're more trouble than you're worth. So someone like JJ pays you ur Ten Gz and walks away. Lesson Learned.
Khia, regardless of how hot she made the track or how hot she thinks she made the track, just isn't as "trained" to be involved in the public media circles that Janet frequents....
say if it wasn't Janet and probably an artist more likely to be on the wall of the average MTV/BET countdown show audience, then i could see how she can get mad, but i'm pretty sure someone with sense in Janet's team made it a priority to "Red Light" the public appearances, but homegirl should shut up and enjoy the kickback/publishing $$$$ from it, and try to make her own "heat" before well off with or without her on the track to begin with...
Khia may not be the classiest artist out there, but she was right as far as promoting "So Excited" goes. 'Cause all I remember from that cut is her hook. But I didn't ever see her anywhere with Janet performing or promoting! They used her (Khia) for street cred (well, maybe), and she's right, they did her wrong. But that song was going to flop either way, just was NOT inspired.
