DANG Is Ne-Yo Suing Beyonce?

Word on the street is that Ne-Yo got a lawsuit out against Beyonce. This chick can't catch a break.

According to WENN, Ne-Yo is set to sue fellow singer Bey over royalties to her 2006 hit single "Irreplaceable", according to U.S. reports.The So Sick hitmaker - real name Shaffer Smith - is allegedly planning on launching a lawsuit against Knowles claiming she reneged on a promise to collaborate on his next album.

Now they are quoting Mediatakeout so this could all be rubbish. The only reason why I mention it is because... I remember and I know a lot you remember back when Writings on the Wall came out, Beyonce and them did a duet with Next (RL, T-Lo and Tweety) and promised to return the favor on Next's follow up CD. At the time Next was hot stuff.


Well WOTW blew up selling like hot cakes and when Next went into the studio, Bey reneged. I got that from former Columbia staffers who said Bey wasn't having it when RL came to claim his end of the deal.

I remember when I interviewed Ne-Yo he went out of his way to say he wrote "Irreplaceable" but that Bey arranged the hell out of it. If you missed it, peep it here:

Like I said... Mediatakeout is involved so give this entire entry the screw face... but given Bey's penchant for scandal like this and Ne-Yo's penchant for setting the record straight when he is done wrong... there might be some truth in this....

On the other hand, Neo is a lil 'how u doin' and u reported way back that he was bitter because Beyonce said she wrote it by herself. I know Ms. Thang aint wrote that song from the heart, probably off of personal experience, and would hate for another woman to take his shine. We know how 'they' like shiny things....

Royalties? This is some real ish... a rep from ASCAP called a New York radio station yesterday to claim that he was receiving checks for the song long before Beyonce was paid for anything (like songwriters/producers are supposed to). This is common knowledge that the songwriter or songwriter's estate gets paid royalties regardless of whether the song is a superhit or not... and Mediatakeout.com? Flush that ish now, or better yet, throw it in the fireplace...

This topic is a little ify. It could easily be straight bullshit but at the same time it can be real. B look like she would pull some shit like that. Just look at the beginning with Next. That was some bullshit. They(D.C) basically used them. And besides that, she been saying that she wrote the song when we know that aint true so why lie about something so petty.
