It seems to be the trend these days to hype an artist's new album and push it back like receding hairlines..so whatever. I'll pick it up when it officially hits stores fourth quarter 2009.

Obama being the best presidential candidate has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with him being black. He's the only one who can get the job done! which is exactly why he won in Iowa. He repesents a new Ideal for America that excludes corrupt politics. Believe it or not America is ready for Obama to be president. It seems that its some of the blacks who aren't ready for a black president because we're the ones always bringing up the color of his skin. Maybe its because of the lingering after effects of slavery that still has some of us feeling so less than and unworthy of having a black president.

Obama is a damn house negro. Just because a man is black doesn't mean he is real. Furthermore, no president can really do much to help anyone. If a person is running for president everyone should be suspicious immediately. By the time Obama is out of office he will DEFINITELY be a war criminal. There is simply no real way around it. It is how this system is set up. I'm not saying Hillary or Edwards are any good either. I'm just saying they are all criminals or future criminals and none of them should be trusted the least bit. And honestly, this isnt a victory for black people it is a defeat. When America has been brutalizing people around the world a lot people saw black Americans as victims of the same system. If we jump for joy over this we will and should be viewed the same as other Americans.

Black people always hate on their own. That is why we will always be second to the white man. If we unite we can make a difference. Don't only think of the short term. When black children see a black president they will look up to him and believe they can achieve great things too. You can't get a better role model for black kids obsessed with rap stars like Sulja boy than a black president. He seems like a decent man so why not give him the benefit of the doubt. You let Bush be president for two whole terms and look what he done to the country.

There were other comments along this line and I think that its the crux of the problem. I just picked this comment out randomly so I'm going to address it a bit. First off this country has never been "prosperous." At least not for black people, native americans, latinos, and even the majority of white people.

America, besides the propaganda you learn in school, was founded on certain goals. James Madison stated that the country should be designed to "protect the minority of the opulent from the majority." John Jay said, "the people who own the country ought to govern it." That is the main crux of American society.

There is no reason for anybody to get excited over any presidential election. Its all a farce. Anyone who can "restore faith" in this system is really detrimental to most of the world and Americans as a whole. The government is designed specifically to protect wealthy property owners and their interests.

Obama is simply a tool for that process. And his race makes it actually detrimental for most black people. Previously black people were viewed internationally as victims of this country, and we are/were victims of this country. But with Obama in power black people will be viewed as just another aspect of America's hegemony.

Lastly I should say Obama will probably bring some very small reforms. For instance, he will probably not attack Iran, but he will continue to occupy Iraq probably through his ENTIRE time in power. He has stated so repeatedly. He probably won't attack Venezuela. And he might not privatize social security. But he will DEFINITELY commit other horrendous crimes. Like for instance, he said he will attack Pakistan.

They are all criminals and we should look to ourselves for help. Self-organization, direct democracy, an end to the nation-state, and an end to capitalism should be the goals in my opinion.

bush has made life in the US worse by spending all the of America's wealth on war. War cost a lot of money and lives. From what I heard Obama does not seem like the type trying to fix the world's problems when the US is in such a mess itself. Its like feeding the neighbours while your children are starving. Either way America needs a change from the Republic regime. If you compare the two parties, the Democrats are much more likely to improve the lives of black people. Republicans do not serve the interests of Black America, but the Democrats do. At least the won't make things worse like the current administration.
