It wasn't til a friend of mine mentioned Chrisette Michele the other day that I even remembered to check for her.
We were talking about how Chrisette's latest video for "Be Ok" was well put together and that our only gripe about Jill Scott is that her video treatments leave a lot to be desired.

Not bad... This is like her third video but probably much more along the lines of where they should have started with her.
After appearing in Nas' video, I feel like peeps sorta have a misshaped view of who Chrisette is, this video is a little more in line with who she might really be.

JAY-Z TO KID WITH CANCER: "SUCK IT"
Got this in my email from a guy whose mother works on the board for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Supposedly, some kid who's dying of cancer's last wish was to spend half an hour with Jay-Z, but Jay-Z stiffed him.
Hey not sure you're really interested in terminally ill children, but I know you all about calling fools out when they need to be; case in point - my mom is on the make-a-wish foundation board and a 14 year old kid dying of lymphoma's last wish is to spend 30 minutes with Jay-Z. The motherfucker (or his people, either way - doesn't matter) denies him. WTF right? The least he could of done is hooked the kid up with some backstage passes at his show that'll be in town on the 29th. But I guess not. Thought you could maybe do drop on this "rumor" floating around the interwebs, but if not tis all good.
Of course I would be more than happy to help out a little kid with cancer. Unlike some people. To think, this kid might be dead soon (god forbid), and Jay-Z can't even hook him up with a concert ticket.
Chrisette got skillz..her voice super-soulful....not to mention she a looker......now that is what a wife should look like.....(her and Selena Johnson)all day baby.....

That mary album is fire. Even Just fine has grown on me, and that is one of the weakest tracks on the album. I basically love every song, and neyo did a great job after that boring song with riri. He makes better songs for other artists than himself or maybe his voice can't carry it as well. Mary is so real, even in this interview.
I love me some Chrisette! I love "be ok" too. I've been bangin that song for a minute-- glad it's been released....

Chrisette is fly in that video. her cd is very underrated. Mary's cd is ok. She has a couple of tracks. But the rest just bored me.
