I love Johnta music he is excellent writer and singer better than Neyo looks finer than Neyo but he so UnderRated I mean Damn they took this long to come out with the video and Cd isn’t even out yet. Jermain doesn’t really know what to do with him I think Johnta should leave Jermain as a artist and go somewhere else or something. But I think this song would be a hit for him if its not stay behind the scenes or try acting. The video is ok they should showed his face some more cause he fine. But kind looks like first video Turn It up. I’m going to vote for video when comes out so real R&B SINGERS CAN GET THEIR SHINE…………………….

johnta austin is a great songwriter for others but when it comes down to writing for himself, he could do better.

I remember when I heard "Just A Little More" on the radio and it was getting alot of airplay here in Charleston...and that was LATE 05!!

Its turning int 08 and still no album...he might just have to re-invent a new album to create some buzz, especially since he is already know to be an amazing writer and he actually is a good singer as well...

"Just A Little More" sounds like some old school Dave Hollister jam..still gets play in the Ipod

An artist should always go even harder when people tell them to give up. Look opinions are opinions but career advice is not something you should give out on a blog even if it is said in jest. I'm a fan Soulman but that was the most industry, totally void of integrity blog post you've ever done. Who cares if his career money wise is s***? Was his music worth listening to? I think it is and thats the only thing you should be writing about...MUSIC........I won't call you names like some of these other posters but you know and I know OUR music should be about creativity and passion not bottom lines and airplay.

It takes more than good looks and a decent voice to connect with the general audience....if it didn't, he'd be the shhh. But unfortunately the "it" factor can't be manufactured you have to be born with it.

You act like "We Belong Together" was a lyrical song, when he took a piece of "If You Think You're Lonely Now" that isn't clever or cute.

I agree with Soulman, Johnta needs to give it up. His vocals are garbage, and the lyrics he writes for himself are trash.

@ The dummy that said he can sing better than Ne-Yo....you've lost your mother loving mind. And what do looks have to do with it? At the end of the day Ne-Yo is getting paid with two different checks (Singing and Writing) and Johnta is still a nobody.

Well in my opinion, Johnta can sing better than Ne-Yo. Ne-Yo just has more of the 'it' factor (whatever that is). But I agree with whomever said Soul Man should not be giving out career advice.

I respect Johnta as a songwriter but other than that I heard this dude in interview and real talk he seems very boring so as an artist I feel he should fall back and collect his money behind the scenes.

It's kinda messed up cause johnta is gonna be a victim of his own success. Anything he puts out will sound like a knock off usher when it's him who writes and gives usher that sound.

Johnta Austin is the best hardly known talent out! That song "Dope Fiend" he has is a definite hit & "Hood Love" with Mary J. Blige. Give my homie the opportunity to spread his wings as an artist. You won't regret it. That I guarantee!
