((((EXCLUSIVE))))
I love it. Mariah Carey's forthcoming project is locked away somewhere waiting to be devoured by all of her loyal fans... SOULMAN included. Yesterday, at the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Music Conference in Atlanta, we ran in DJ Toomp who worked on Mimi's album.
Carey'd me thru desparation
Okay so they broke down and re-sent the "Portrait of Love" video... after AOL MUSIC premiered it. Although this is the audience that counts when it comes to her sales.
I've heard for a few weeks that Jaheim was dropping a CD and at first, I was wonder... who keeps approving his budgets and projects.
As reported, Kelly Rowland performed in Atlantic City last week and someone sent us footage.
Remember Beyonce and Sugarland performing "Irreplaceable" on the American Music Awards?
My buddy Sam over at ThatGrapeJuice.net scored a great review of Kelly Rowland's show in Philly at the House Of Blues.
Kelly Rowland says to hell with trying to have a hit record or even a career of her own and opts to form a choir for NBC's new show "Clash of the Choirs" -- yet another ensemble of voices put together to outshine hers.
The analog girl known as E. Badu was all up and through the OkayPlayer message boards talking about fashion and who she would rather face in a fist fight... Alicia, Jill or Lauryn.

ATLANTIC RECORDS REMOVED THE VIDEO BECAUSE THEY GAVE AOL MUSIC THE RIGHTS TO THE PREMIERE! AIN'T MY FAULT THEY LEAKED IT AND THEN WANTED BACKSIES!
I AM PISSED ABOUT IT TOO. I GOT SOMETHING FOR THEIR ASSES!
It's official... Atlantic Records has finally done right by Cheri Dennis. The label has finally etched concrete plans to release In and Out of Love, her debut CD, which will also feature the single "I Love You." [Read More Here]
Looking back at all the commentary about the American Music Awards, I realized that Queen Latifah's performance didn't get talked up very much.
As it gets closer to release, more tracks from Mary J. Blige's forthcoming Growing Pains are leaking to the innanet.

In the midst of Alicia Keys and Chris Brown and the rest of the top 40 favorites releasing new music, I've stumbled across three CDs that should become a part of your music collection, if they aren't already.
We've already decided to stop breaking our brains trying to figure out what would make Ms. Kelly re-up. When I was told that she was working with GYM CLASS HEROES, things seemed even more obscure
And it don't stop. Last night down in Atlanta, R. Kelly laid it down alongside Keyshia Cole, NeYo and J. Holiday.
Chris Breezy is staying busy as hell this winter. Aside from his CD, Exclusive, that hit shelves last week, he's got that movie with Loretta Divine and Brenda from 227.
Where did this re-release concept begin and why? Usually I'd complain, but since I am the only one around here that likes Justin Timberlake I won't because.... I AM SURE Y'ALL GONNA COMPLAIN!
Now we all know Brandy got that line of wigs out right? And we all know that she is bout to tear up 2008 with a new release.... well to handle her business on both those ventures, ole girl performed live in DC at some hair show.... hell, it's Brandy. Bow down dammit.
Erykah Badu flaked on our interview scheduled for yesterday, but Soulman still got all kinds of love for her... and Soulman will wait. But ain't it exciting to see E.Badu making noise again as she prepares to drop Kahba on Feb 26th?
The first leaked track is called "Honey."
I saw Mary J. Blige full CD and realized... yea, she gonna be just fine.
(see full album cover after the jump)
SOHH Soulful is the only friggin blog around that got an exclusive sit down, face to face interview with the uncomparable Alicia Keys.
Surprisingly today's new music isn't all about Chris Brown. Cheri Dennis has a single hitting iTunes today. The track, titled "Remind You," is the iTunes Free Single of the Week.
album in stores Feb 2008
Amy Winehouse, like Britney, is one of those people that even if you don't want to admit it, you get some sort of joy out them being visual disasters.
We ran this once before, but I thought it was worth repeating. Alicia Keys has a behind the scene video for her Ebony magazine covershoot.
