Things Get Complex For Alicia Keys and Chris Brown

Alicia Keys is rocking the cover of Complex magazine.

can't stand lookin up them nostrils

I like her going the sexy route. The hands on her head is a bit much. But I ain't mad.

Things are getting complex for Chris Brown who apparently isn't the humble kat from Virginia as he portrays.

Word on the street is, when songwriter the The Dream presented Chris Brown with the song "Bed" but Chris turned it down saying it wouldn't be a hit without him singing it.

"The track was considered for Chris Brown -- he thought it was his -- but it was my record and I decided to give it up to J. Holiday," The-Dream explained to Billboard.com. "Chris said the record won't be No. 1 unless he's on it. I bet someone $500,000 that it would go to No. 1 and I collected my money just last week." Read more here.

Who woulda thought Chris such an egotist? And who woulda thought he'd need a #1 hit so bad in hindsight. Unfortunately.... this ain't it.

Neither was this....

This story kinda sounds like when Christina Milian turned down "S.O.S." which was a smash for Rihanna.

Chris is starring in This Christmas alongside Regina King. Check out the trailer.

I wanna see This Christmas

Yea alicia looks good as usual.Ciara could take some tips about keeping it grown and sexy. But on that chris brown thing i new dude was gettin big headed, it seems like all these Entertainers get big headed after they have a little success.

bullshit......chris people turned the song down, cause they thought it was too racy for his fan base. when cb heard about it he asked to purchase it and was turned down.

thats it end of story. so fuck off.

stop trying to make breezy out to be a villian, he is way hotter than j. holliday anyway.

ass

^^^^

Calm down.

kill yourself ....the dream is an idiot. stop fucking with cb, he is a nice guy.

Alicia is my girl...she knows how to be sexy, but keep it classy and not hoochie...u go girl!

and Chris knows damn well that song was too grown for him anyway...half of his fans are still being TUCKED into bed at night...they don't need to be hearing him sing about puttin somebody to bed, rockin bodies and lovin them til their eyes roll back

he should wait a few years before he gets too overtly sexual with it

and besides, J Holiday ROCKED that song...and i don't wanna hear anybody else sing it...by the way, i WILL be coppin his album tomorrow...yall should do the same!

What kills me is this Dream dude acting like he WROTE "Bed" and "Umbrella" entirely when if fact not only did he COWRITE both songs, "Tricky" Stewart did majority of the writing, along with majority of the production of "Umbrella"..

If he's such a dope writer, he needs to write better shyt than that "Shorty Is Tha Shit" bs he has out now

ella, ella, eh eh ed -ed,-ed

umbrella and bed are basically two versions of the same song in my opinion, and it would looked like chris brown was jumping on rhianna's shine. And yes, I agree this song would have been too racy for him.

Like others have stated, I think The Dream might be wrong for blaming Chris directly, as it wouldn't make sense for Chris to be so sexually overt considering his fan base. Usher didn't even go that far with sexuality until the Confessions album, so though Chris might have needed "Bed" to put his sophomore album in motion, it could have turned off the parents of his many younger fans who purchase their Chris Brown cds/posters/dvds with mommy and daddy's money.

I agree though, Brown DOES need a hit. Remember Omarion's 21 album? Things seem to be going down the same way. For whatever reason, radio just isn't responding to the singles, and pushing it back only means that they're hitting the panic button while looking for a smash. "Exclusive" would have come out much earlier if Wall to Wall was the "Yeah" of 2007, but imo, it sounded too much like "Run It" and fans didn't really want it. Kiss Kiss is a song that I think sounds good, but it would take weeks before Pop/Top40 embraces a song with that kind of production. Only way top40 would accept "Kiss Kiss" is if it consistently went over well in the "white" night clubs, for lack of a better term. 'Til then, it's a hood hit at best.

everybody needs to calm down truth is that BED wouldve been a hit either way.

i want to see christmas when it comes out. it looks like a good movie.

I'm not a Chris Brown fan but the Dream act like he on Ne-yo level he only wrote two songs that turn out to be a hits. If he so good why can't he write his wife Nivea a hit and his songs are annoying anyway with the repeating ey ey ey mess.

The Dream sucks for continuing to use that 'ay ay' signature ad lib cuz it's getting old er, i mean Bed is an ok song but it's redundant. I kinda think J Holiday sounds like Mario which makes him sorta unoriginal.

Chris Brown is wack. If he's such a good artist, he would write his own material, instead of hating on J when he hadn't even heard the track yet. He actually had the nerve to get on 106 & Park and say that the track would be nothing without him on it. Sounds more like a Jay-Z line "the rap game needs me", NOT, you need it more. Then when he was questioned about a Gabriel Union rumor, he began spreading their business out in the streets. I would not be his Co-D. I have three words for Mr. Brown. YOUNG & DUMB. get over yourself, their are plenty of artists who sing better than you who can't get a chance to shine because the labels want that wholesome image that has been molded for most of the industry. UnderGround 4 lyfe. Day to Day living is RAW & UNCUT, why shouldn't our music be?
