That is not an absolute no ... and if it is so what. Personally, as a longtime Janet fan, stan or whatever the fuck ya'll call it, I was tired of the Jam/Lewis approach. It got stale and I was glad that she changed shit up. All For You, the last one she did with them handling everything, was WEAK. Damita Jo and 20 YO may not have moved big numbers but they weren't bad albums at all ... personally I enjoyed them a great deal. Stop hating on Janet and go lick Bey's puss, since that's all ya'll do on this site anyway.

This would be a really bad move considering the problem with the last album was jd not jimmy and terry. The best cuts on the album were produced by those two.

I do see why they wouldn't be on the project though. They are more suited for those smooth slow joints and if the objective this time around is to put Janet "back in the clubs" then I guess there wont be much need for them.

I think change is a good thing. She has worked with jimmy and terry exclusively for 20 years i think it is time for her to grow as an artist. Could you have imagine if michael only worked with Quincy Jones for 20 years or Madonna worked with one producer for 20 years they would not have grown has artists. The problem with janet is she has not changed with the times and if she hopes to have a comeback she needs to branch out from what she used to do. I am glad that LA Reid is overseeing this project, he is no fool, he knows what will work for her. Remember he is mostly reponsible for the mariah comeback so i am not worried. Jermaine will not have control of this project like the last one so i would not ber worried. Jimmy and Terry are great producers but their music has become stale so there has got to be a change. I have been a fan since control and i believe in Janet as an artist.

I fell that she could give them two joints, so we cna see that ol Janet. Ne-Yo is a good look but I think he would do better for Michael than Janet. Rodney will give her some solid hits,and Jermaine will give her that edge and a classic to match. So i'm looking forward to her new album.

Ok, real talk... what has Jimmy Jam and Terry done for music lately??? So what if they gave her the majority of her hits in her career... This is now, and she needs to do whatever it takes to max out what little relevancy she has left. And I just don't see Jimmy Jam and Terry being it... Frankly, I'd be surprised if they had a hit with anyone in the future - or hell, if someone can point out a hit they've had in the last 3 or 4 years, let me know!

Like Madonna, Ms. Janet has paved the road for may young and upcoming new artists, both male and female. After 20 years of success, artists are bound to have their ups and downs, i.e. Prince, M.J., Mariah, even Cher, haha! She has to grow up now. Her albums are usually good, but they tend to be on the sexual side all time...breakaway from that for awhile and try some real grown folks music...she can do it!

KAE u are telling the truth. Janet as an artist aint on point anymore Not even the faithful few can resurrect her.
But the problem lies in her focus. Selling is great but what about the music the lyrics the connection to your audience.
Janet is at an age where she should really be focused on artistry and musicianship rather than HYPE and numbers. If you are a true artist what you create should matter to you. Regardless if its number 1 or 100. Virgin didn't support her at all last time , but she pretty much abandoned it because it wasn't a "commercial" success.
Janet has enuff awards and numbers ones at this point that shouldnt matter to HER.
If she is a true artist thats loyal to her music and bares her soul THIS time she will do better than B4.
But if her focus is outselling Beyonce or whoever or striving to be TRLs number one she will without a doubt fail again.
Or maybe I am wrong in calling her an artist maybe she is a just a showy shuck n jive entertainer. With no connection at all.
Maybe thats why ppl can copy her style and call it something different.
I dunno. I believe janet has it in her.
She doesn't need another comeback she really hasnt gone anywhere but she does need to revamp her focus and try to not get caught up in the BS.

I watched her grow up on "Good Times" as the adorible Penny,but she's all grown up now,and is in Control,she has her own mind,her own thuoghs,and ideals,and I fully respect that,I just sincerely hope she made the right decisions,the right choices.Again we'll see.
