Brandy Talks Up Her Album: "I have to get it out, if it's the last thing I do."

Brandy is finally talking about her forthcoming cd.

According to People.com:

Brandy, who faces lawsuits and possible criminal charges from a fatal traffic accident, is coping by recording music.

"I've just got to get that album out," the pop star tells PEOPLE. "I have to get it out, if it's the last thing I do."

Brandy's album, which does not currently have a title, would be her fifth studio album, and the first since 2004's critically well-received Afrodisiac.

"I've been gone for a long time," says the 28-year-old R&B singer-actress, who spoke to PEOPLE at the recent Christian Audigier fashion show at L.A. Fashion Week. "I really want to give the fans something that they deserve to have. So, I'm working really hard on this. I really want to make it the best work I've done so far."

brandy is the best female vocalit ever well for our generation so i cant wait for the new album i love her and all of her albums she's the best for someone to put there all in to one album like she is you can't help but want he to succeed so she's in my prayers i hope they come to sometype of settlement and she can eleash that hott ass album the music industry needs you.

I dunno man these days if you aint light skinned and pretty its hard to blow up...can she survive in this Beyonce era??????..can she do it BIG like alicia keys????..can she surpass the success Keisha Cole has?????..can she build a big buzz like new comer keri Hilson has????..does she have longevity like Mary????lol can she take the spot light off her brother & bring it back on her????..i guess we will see..good luck brandy.

i really hope she comes hard this time. afrodisiac was a banger, i still listen to it everyday. her voice is sumthin serious.

i love this girl, people forget that it was brandy (along with aaliyah) who opened up the doors for britney and beyonce and alicia and etc. and she's a real artist...she writes most of her own shit. i love her

B-Rocka is tight as hell!! If she decides to get back with Rodney, he should do at MOST 4 tracks. I can see her working w/Timbaland again, Brian Cox (I heard he is the exceutive producer of the upcoming album), Ryan Leslie (he is behind Cassie's "Me & U" although Brandy can sing A LOT Better), Jermaine Dupri, The Neptunes, Stargate, Akon, and Jazze Pha. Soul Man, what do you think?

Brandy is one of a kind!! There will never be anyone like her..she has a very unique voice. She made me miss her more when she did "Thought You Said" off of Puffy's "Press Play" album. If she gets with Darkchild..that will be hawt.. "Never Say Never" album is a classic

I can not wait for Brandy's new record. I am a huge Brandy fan. To me she embodies a true R&B artist. She is a huge breath of fresh air from Beyonce. She has the most amazing voice I have heard, which is what seperates her from the "average" artist. I acknowledge how she is abIe to use her voice as an instrument. I was very dissapointed that her last album "Afrodisiac" did not do as well as it should have. I will continue to support her because I support real music.
