No One by Alicia Keys is a damn good track. She really is the truth in this R&B game.
I want to feel bad for M. Vick. But the fact of the matter is, he was doing something that's wrong. I don't understand how a dude with a contract worth $130 million would resort to such nonsense. I think what did it for me was how they killed the dogs that didn't perform well. Dogfighting is bad enough, but drowning, beating dogs to death...c'mon man. I love my Great Danes...I couldn't do that to them.
Instead of focusing on the one black dude who had all the opportunities to do right but did wrong...focus on the ones who are really getting a raw deal...like the Jena 6 kids. Read up on that story. That's something to focus on.

I have dedicated this top five to Melanie Thornton as she was a great singer but sadly died in a plane crash in late 2001. She was an african american singer but was big as a solo artist in Europe, especially Germany. Some may know her as the lead singer in LaBouche. Another great talent lost.

It's another thing to be a grown man and participate in the dog fighting and claim you didn't know it was illegal. I have lost all respect for Jamie. I can say that it's wrong how Vick is being attacked by the system and the media and singled out as if he is the only man to ever commit this crime, but I cannot defend his actions. He deserves punishment, but not to be dragged through the mud.

I see your point, which is kinda why I feel bad for M. Vick. But I also think that this dude should be smart enough to know that you can't always do the same thing with potentially $130 mil in your account that you could when you had $100 bucks. More eyes are watching you...especially if you're black.

@Mack-When you hunt a deer, you shoot it dead as quickly as possible. You don't drown it for 5 minutes, electricute it, etc. It's not illegal to put your horse down if its leg is broken, but it is illegal if you put it down my doing something inhumane. And you also don't hunt domesticated animals (except for rabbits maybe.) Hunting in some areas also helps control the population of animals. That's the difference in dog fighting and hunting. They are not the same at all.
And dog fighting has been illegal in all states for over 30 years and it's been illegal in some states for over 100 so you can't really say that it was changed by the police all of a sudden. Ignorance is definitely not an excuse and black people need to get over using that one because that's what holds a lot of us back. If you're going to take the time to put all this together to have these dog fights (or whatever it is) then you should also take the time to make sure you're not breaking any laws.
