VIDEO: Kelly Rowland 'Collapses' During Live Show!

While promoting her album, Ms. Kelly in Largos, Nigeria, Kelly Rowland collapsed due to dehydration.
Her reps are saying it was dehydration. Which I can understand 'cause international flights are hard on a person's mojo, but dehydration caused this:
she collapsed during "Say My Name"
Here is one SOHH Soulful reader, witness account:
She was all up on the stage shaking her booty to "Say My Name" and I look away for a split second and then I see her lying on the stage. At first, I thought it was part of the act especially when one of her dancers started jumping around super-dramatically but then stage crew started running towards her and then some This Day folks including This Day publisher, Nduka Obaigbena were on the stage forming a ring round her to prevent the audience from seeing what the medical emergency crew were doing and then we knew it was real. Damn! The audience began chanting "Ke-lly, Ke-lly, Ke-lly!" in the hope of encouraging her on. The emergency operation went on for about 15 minutes before she was finally carried off the stage, I'm assuming on a strecher, since she was completely surrounded by the people on the stage. She defintely didn't get up and walk off herself, that I know for sure. Later on, Nduka Obaigbena came out and said she was okay and she sent her love and was very sorry for not being able to complete her set.
Speaking of which, her set was actually quite fun and energetic despite what seemed like a lot of people's apprehensions (including mine) about her ability as an exciting live performer.

Dehydration..... that must have been a brutal flight, cause it's not like she be performing "Like This" anywhere near as much as she performed when DC3 was touring them big hits they had so she can't be tired.

I don't think it was a publicity stunt, nor do I think it was dehydration. That excuse is used so much that even if that is the reason celebs should make up something else. What's weird is that she appears to be falling to the side. Who passes out to the side?

What a lot of y'all are not realizing is that several different things can cause dehydration. She could've eaten some bad food, got the runs, and became dehydrated. She could have a sinus infection. She could've went out the night before and got wasted. She could have an eating disorder. Most of the illnesses that cause dehydration aren't bad alone, but it's when you get dehydrated that you become in danger and something like this can happen. Publicity stunt? GTFOH! That is truly hating at its worse. Kelly is loved more overseas than here so if it was for publicity to boost sales, it would've been here in the US and not in Nigeria.

I fell out myself there once. I call myself going out in the heat after eating just eggs that morning...big mistake. She was probably trying to look cute and not each much before she went out on stage.

First of all, let's look at the map. Nigeria is on the African continent, one of the hottest freakin continents on the planet. Take that and add some bright stage lamps, which for those of you who haven't been on the stage before are pretty darn hot. I don't think dehydration is farfetched in this situation. And, kelly is beautiful and talented...she doesn't need petty cries for attention.
I'm acutually from Nigeria but I've been living in the US for some years....If you are not aware of the temperature and don't drink enough water or some fluid, it really is possible for someone just coming from a temperate climate to faint from dehydration over there...the temp is like 90 degrees all year long. Even Nigerians that have lived in the US for so long walk around with bottled water to avoid getting dehydrated when they visit. The weather is kindalike summer in Florida except is all year. I don't think it's a publicity stunt.
