Omarion talked to MTV News about getting with Usher on the "Ice Box" remix.
"I'm really excited about [it]," Omarion said of the reworking. "I've never done a lot of collaborations. Truthfully, artists most of the time are so busy, they never get a chance to get in the studio and be personal with a record. Myself and [Usher], we very much had a lot of creative control with each other, like, 'What do you think about this?' It wasn't like I sent him the record â€" he did it, and I put my part on it. This was a real collaboration. When people hear it, I hope they like it.
"When you have respect for someone, that's all that matters," he added. "I respect this artist so much and he respects me. When you think about the industry, you think about people competing. You don't think about people getting together like, 'Let's do a record. Why not?' Especially R&B. That's why I say it's big, it's so big. [Usher] is very special to me, very special to the industry."
When asked what would be the follow up single to "Ice Box," O said.....
"I'm hearing a lot of people like 'Midnight,' " he offered. "A personal favorite of mine is 'Beg for It,' that's another one Timbaland did. So maybe 'Midnight' is next. I don't know."
Soulman personally votes for "Beg For It" then follow that with "Midnight."
I agree, its a matter of respect from both of them. its a good look for usher and a good look for O. The remix is hot and thats how it should be.
He really should have dropped the icebox remix when the original icebox song was fresh.
Definitely Midnight for the next single....Beg For It is a little corny...plus Tim is all over the radio with Nelly F., Justin Timberlake, and his other collabos..Midnight is HOT!
He needs Usher cause only his mom and his cousins sister bought his last album!

Damn, seem like I aint been in here in forever... yall done changed the paint, ripped up the carpet and all kinda shit LOL............ I heard the remix though, its tight. Way better than the original to me, but that might be because Usher just killed it. He pulled a "Call On Me" (made Omarion seem like he was the guest on his own track LOL) But 2 points for comradery. Its a nice joint.
The remix is tight aint care for it at first but I'm digging it after a couple of listens. I vote for the Midnight joint personally

I love this remix... it's nice to hear from Usher... I can't wait for him to drop his next cd. As for O's next single, I agree with Soulman, Beg For It. I think it has a better chance of being commercially successful.
