When Jill Scott's Collaborations cd came out late last month very few people got excited.
As we mentioned before, Collaborations, is a collections of duets featuring Lupe Fiasco, Mos Def, Andre Boccelli, Bilal, Sergio Mendez and more.
But the important thing is that, the cd contains a Hidden Beach sampler that has a pretty lengthy snippet of what is supposed to be Jill's first single from her new studio album coming out in June.

i'm probably jill's #2 fan in the whole wide world. still grovin 2 her earlier works. i think the collab cd was just to give people a taste until she drops her album later this year. you can't let ppl go 2 long w/o hearin ur voice, knowing ur name. she drops her music far and few in between, but it's always quality and always leaves me anticipating for more.
I recently saw Jill at Radio City here in NY and she was FABULOUS. She introduced one of here new songs and of course when done live she can captivate and mesmerize you simply singing the alphabets. So I enjoyed it. The unfortunate thing about the entire show was Mo'Nique, she was the epitome of embarrassment for black people, she was raunchy, cursed profusely and did absolutely nothing to compliment Jill's show. Please who ever it is that book these acts, do your homework. .
