Earlier in the week we talked about Kelly Rowland stopping traffic at the DJ Premier event on Tuesday.

Well while there, Kelly introduced her new track "Like This" featuring Eve.
So far everyone liked it. Now I am sure this isn't the "technical" single, but more a street feeler for Kells to get her feet wet before her June/July release. FYI: Amerie was pushed back as well to June/July. Probably to make room for the B'Day re-release than to make room for Solange as Concrete Loop reports.
Not that I am contradicting them, I am just saying, if Columbia is still working the B'Day project, it makes sense to give Kells a few more months to tear up the scene and prep for the kind of release that will blow socks off.
The B'Day re-release is dropping April 3rd.

Kelly would def need to come with something harder for her 1st single. Despite a relatively high profile & quite a number of people rooting for her personally she hasn't really got an established fan base of her own. So if she gonna have any success she needs a HOT track to start things off (like Dilema was back in the day, even though she failed to capitalize on that with weak follow ups)
its a damn shame cos she seem to have good personality/looks but mami needs to leave the Knowles camp for real

I like the track. You can definately find yourself bumping to the track. However I still don't think it a 1st single track that will capture everyone attention that would make them want to buy a cd.

I have to admit after my first time hearing the single, I didn't like it, but after letting it marinate. I'm feeling this lil ditty, I think with a killer ass video this song could be hot ta def! I like the Kelly track. It's not a strong enough first single, which it probably will not be. It's a nice track to go on the album though. She sounds great. This girl has what it takes to be a huge solo star, I just don't think she knows it. Kelly really needs to break away from the Knowles professionally. I would also love to see her work with The Neptunes and Timbaland. They could give her a really hot sound.
Hell, knowing Papa Knowles, he most likely has Kelly's contract laced with all kinds of clauses for if she was to fire him as her manager. That man is one very shady individual, and I wouldn't put it past him.
I wish Kelly had a mind of her own and dump Matthew and get a manager who would smack the sh*t out of her for recording something like this to be a first single.

I love this song.. it is great!! I agree with those that say that you should wait once they get a video done and it gets on the radio. It really grows on you and you start bumping your head "like this."
However, I am a bit disappointed with the way Kelly is being handled. It is very disorganized. Her album keeps being pushed back.. AND SOMEONE ON HERE ASKED A GREAT QUESTION: And for what? B's rerelease of B'Day (don't blame us because you only put out 10 songs) and Solange (I have nothing against the girl but no one is biting their nails waiting for her album...maybe she will prove us wrong)
