Does anyone think it's strange that BET decided to broadcast the first annual Hip Hop Awards on the same night as the live broadcast of the World Music Awards?
I find it strange that network didn't bother to look past it's own backyard (Atlanta) to see that peeps across the pond were having a fiesta of their own. A fiesta that has Beyonce opening the show, Mary J. Blige performing and Michael Jackson receiving the Diamond Award for selling 100 million albums. It's rumored that Michael will recreate the video for "Thriller" on stage. That's crack bitch!
If you have BET, chances are you have BBC or BBC America (if you ever go that high on the dial) or some way to see the broadcast. Is it hitting any of the usual networks? Anyways... I think it's a bigger statement being made. One that says hip hop ain't as worldly as Jay and his save the water campaign suspects.
And speaking of Michael Jackson, who's wig will be tighter... his or Beyonce's? But let us not forget Mary will be in the building. Rihana too. Alright I'm done.

Well at least we had "teen summit" when Bob Johnson was down but I don't think BET ever has reached its potential. I still can't unserstand why there is no original programming on BET. You figure they would be able to tap into that market somehow since they obviously have a large audience.

Good morning all...looks like I came into a chat room. ha! No hate at all, this seems to be the only civilized blog on the whole site.
