Fantasia. Where do I begin. This is turning out to be a love/hate relationship.
As I mentioned, I saw Fantasia in concert last Wednesday and became a fan of her step-up from gut bucket on-stae persona. She was amazing. I ain't even gonna front. Lil mama from North Carolina did the damn thing. BAREFOOT!
What I didn't mention was that I was to interview Fanny backstage and let's just say many hours later, no interview transpired. I ain't even gonna get in to the details around the "unhappiness" she expressed to Mario, her fellow labelmate... which ultimately is the reason why I never went one on one with American Idol winner. Our day is coming though. Trust Papo.
I also have to admit that I love the theatrics of her show, including how she had security remove baracades so that the audience was closer and how she had someone help her take her shoes off so that she could tear the fucking roof off the mutha. "Hood Boy" featuring Big Boi from Outkast is becoming a fast favorite. Don't sleep.
Have we discussed Gwen Stefani's new video for the single "Wind It Up?" Is it banging? If the single or video ain't enough the artwork alone got me hot for Gwen. Chicks are stepping their game up. I likes dat.
Gwen's sophomore cd, The Sweet Escape is released the same day as Ciara's. If you only have enough for one cd on that day, which one are you going to choose?
The American Music Awards comes on tonight. Mary, Beyonce, Ciara... yea yea yea. I was hoping that since Janet gave her exclusive Super Bowl interview to Oprah (ABC), she would rack up at the American Music Awards since the show is owned by the network. Guess not. Last I read Janet is opening the Billboard Awards. Set ya DVR's now. I smell a major performance. Details here.
Lastly check out Kramer, who went from being a Seinfeld favorite to a straight up ass. And give a listen to this new Ryan Leslie, "Elecktro."

didnt see the awards, but i heard about it. fantasia really has a love for music... she has good stage presence NOW... at first i was skeptical, but she's shown real growth as an artist... accross the boards
and when Gwen and Ciara shit come out?.... hmmm... if i have enough for only one cd... i think i'll just save it for another day
One CD for the day? Ciara's. Saw the Gwen and didn't like the song with video. She looked great. But the song is lacking bass. It is a nice club banger, and I am pretty sure the white girls will lose their fucking minds over it. Lol. I also like how Gwen made reference to all the biting ass females copping her style. Smooth. If I had to choose, I would cop Ciara's new one. I love Gwen but that "Promise" video is fire. I think Ciara's really coming into her own. I look forward to watching her dance the way I always did with Janet. The two of them performing together would be fire!

For real Seinfeld was funny as hell! I treasure my laughter like I do my like and I watch that damn show every Thursday night!
