Not everyone that makes good R&B has their video in heavy rotation on "106 & Park" or makes the countdown on the popular radio stations. These people are kinda on the D list so to speak. I agree with the list, the problem with most of these singers is their not marketed right, so you don't hear about them as much. But their is alot of people to add to that list.

Donnel Jones may be underrated but not as underrated as Shanice. He continually has his moments to shine in the spotlight and he is backed by big labels. but lately he has had some boring ass songs..so i see why his spotlight is dimming.

Trey Songz is deinitely not a C or D-list. He's famous but I think he chose to be more underground. He's a keeper, he knows the right cats; maybe he's just trying to give other peeps the spotlight and he will know when is the right time to come out, big time. He deserves his props; he can definitely freestyle; very creative!

The production on her second album was sub par at best, so I'm not surprised it didn't do well. But....that's what happens when you're signed to a label where the boss is also an artist. You don't get the right amount of guidance and objectivity that you really need.
At least half of that album is pure filler IMO.

I think anyone that truely listen to and invest in black R&B music are excepting too much B.S. I dont see these white pop or country artist taking all their clothes off and dropping it like its HOTT to get reconition world wide.... so why do Black R&B artist have to do it? Even the R&B male singers feel the pressure to show their bodies. The artist that are named above i.e. Chante Moore, Tamia, Anita Baker--- they wouldn't take their clothes off so they dont get the major gigs and the major advertisement. R&B listeners have to change their ways and support these serious singers then you will receive A better quality of music.
Brooke Valentine can actually sing so she needs to put some clothes becasue she doens't have to do all that to get attention. Her voice should speak for itself. Olivia is a mediocre vocalist. Craig David is HUGE overseas.
