After y'all talked about Cheri Dennis like a dog this past Monday, she called in to go on record about her album and her struggle as Bad Boy's good girl.
Soul Man: How long have you been on Bad Boy?
Cheri: 5 Years
Soul Man: What projects have you worked on since being signed?
Cheri: Mostly Bad Boy projects. I was on The Saga Continues, The R&B Hits. I was on Ma$e's second album, umm I've done a couple things.
Soul Man: Introduce your new album to our readers. Tell us about the second single and the songs closest to your heart.
Cheri: Well we're not really sure what the second single is... the first single is "I Love You" the remix features Jim Jones and Yung Joc. This album is definitely about love and relationships. One of my favorites is an interlude, it's not even a song. It's called "Finally Made It" and I guess it just emcompasses everything I've been through from being signed, getting the project to this point and everything I endured. I also have a record called "It's So Good" that's one of my favorites.
Cheri went on to say how she loves the fan support of her and her struggle. She lamented about her frustrations on being signed for sohh long but concluded that she is just waiting her turn and that she trusts things will work out for the best. I couldn't help but feel like not having an album title and not having a second single in mind was a bit... typical Bad Boy considering there was an album release party moons ago. All in all it seems like she's just happy to be in the room. Yo and I meant that in like the least sarcastic way possible.

I will have to admit that over the past couple years there has been a shift especially since American Idol where people truly give credit where it's due. People want good singers. Mariah is a good singer. Janet is more of an entertainer than singer; for her it's all about the production including the hype prior to the single. lol! Tough FCC Fines Against TV Indecency
President Bush signed legislation Thursday that will cost broadcasters dearly when programming exceeds "the bounds of decency."
At a signing ceremony for the new law increasing by tenfold the maximum fine for indecency on broadcast TV networks and commercial radio, Bush said the law will force industry figures to "take seriously their duty to keep the public airwaves free of obscene, profane and indecent material."
The law does not try to define what is indecent. The Federal Communications Commission says indecent material contains sexual or excretory material that does not rise to the level of obscenity. For anything it deems indecent, the FCC can now fine a broadcaster up to $325,000 per occurrence.
The law does not apply to cable or satellite broadcasts.
