As it turns out, Janet Jackson's little surprise-- "Weekend", was just a temporary gift to her fans. The 20 year old "Control" freak announced via her website that "Weekend" was just a teaser and that her official first single "Call On Me" hits radio stations on June 19th.
One website reported that there is chaos amidst the Los Angeles dance community as Janet auditions dancers for her upcoming tour:
At 9 pm, the arrival of squad cars and searchlights from an overhead helicopter was no surprise. Dance auditions haven't produced a vibe like this since Janet's Superbowl auditions two years ago. Keyshia can indeed sing and is the BEST thing heard in a while compared to that Ciara "dancer" and the "posing" Ashanti. I do agree that Fantasia can blow and is not receiving her just due, but Fantasia needs to also understand that singing is not about pulling a scream from the bottom of your toes and then letting it bellow out over tunes.
