I think coming from the Broadway side, I had this mentality that I had done some things before and if I couldn't do the albums a certain way then I could just say, "OK, I'll walk away." And also there is my spiritual side. I just kind of said "Look, I don't want it to be this way." I don't want people to say what is Heather thinking? I wanted it to be a commercial success and I do want it to cross over to as many markets as possible but at the same time I wanted to maintain who I was and what I believe in.

I loved Kelly's performance. Why does every blog about Kelly, have to mention Beyonce? I think it is good that Kelly is representing DC without Beyonce b/c that way she can get her own shine and if Beyonce wants to go to the beach, good for her, I think she has earned the right to relax. Plus, I'd be at the beach too if my boyfriend was worth like $400 million dollars.
And also, ever considered the fact, that Matthew makes just as much money if Kelly does well as if Beyonce does well, so wouldn't he want all the girls to do well. These blogs are just pure fiction. And Kelly is no slouch, she sold $2 million copies worldwide of her last album.

As for Kelly, her performance was mediocre, but she definitely has stage presence. I think she was catering to what the audience in Asia considers hot. I was kind of unsure about some of her new material at first, but now it's really grown on me. I'm really feeling her song "Ghetto". "Gotsta Go" is a banger, but I can see myself getting tired of that one quickly. I believe that "Still In Love With My Ex" has the potential to duplicate the success of Ne-Yo's "So Sick", because a lot of people can relate to that song, and it has pop radio cross-over appeal. I will definitely be picking up her new album though, and not the bootleg version.
