Anthony Hamilton is getting his shine on all across the country as he headlines a tour with Van Hunt and Heather Headley.

Say what you will about Amerie, but somehow she keeps you looking and wondering what's next. Amerie banged out one of the hottest hits last year with "1 Thing", SOHH I didn't give my usual screw face when I heard she was back in the studio. According to vibe.com, who Amerie spoke exclusively with about her new project, the album is titiled "None of the Above". You gotta admit that title is hot. "A" had this to say about the new project:

"It's called None of The Above because I feel like as people we never like to be in boxes and myself, I never like to feel like I'm categorized. "Everyone is always trying to put me in a box, as far as growing up, ethnicity-wise and racially like 'What Am I?' 'What do I think I'm more of?'

"I feel like with this album, I really got to have fun and create a lot of different things."

"I mean I just create music. I just do my thing," said Amerie. "It (the new album) goes from like '70s funk to the '80s music that we all grew up listening to and I just meshed it all together with my signature style."

While you were waiting on Russell and Kimora to get back together, Ron Isley's horny ass was taking his Baby Makin' Music straight to the top of the Billboard R&B Charts. And I gotta show some love to Jagged Edge for their self titled cd debuting at #2 and Teena Marie's Sapphire in at #3. Everything else on that chart is usual. See for yourself.

There are two new guys from New Orleans named Luke & Q who are trying to make some noise for the sake of pure R&B. Their story: from New Orleans, sang background for Tyrese , auditioned for Clive Davis and shaBAM! record deal. Why should we give a fuck? Well, they make a pretty good point...

Q: This is New Orlean's R&B. Our R&B is a bit of a gumbo. It's a lil hip hop, a lil boss music, soulful R&B, smooth R&B. Nothing tainted. Nothing convienent.

Luke: This music is gonna bring people back to the 90's, like when Mary J. Blige first came out. Groups like Blackstreet, Silk, Shai, Troop, Tevin Campbell. We just trying to bring that kind of music back.

Yesterday on 106 & Park, your boy Tigger (who's new morning show is hella boring) and my boo Julissa announced some of the categories and nominees for the BET Awards that is scheduled to air June 27, 2006. It's gonna be like one big ole BET prom, but in a good way.

SOHH Soulful is really diggin' the fact that R&B legend, Teena Marie is releasing an album titled Sapphire and the first single is called "Ohh Wee". Ohh Wee? That's what we said.

Kelly Rowland appears on the cover of the summer issue of Vibe Vixen. And as always SOHH Soulful is happy to see Kells continue to step out on her own and do the damn thing.

As Tom Cruise does rounds throughout the city of New York to promote the opening of his new movie Mission Impossible III which premieres tonight at 8:30pm, every jeep, SUV and hooptie alike will be bumpin' "Impossible" from the movie's soundtrack which features vocals by SOHH Soulful favorite Keyshia Cole doing what she does best!

Late last week, Janet Jackson placed a count down clock on her website JanetJackson.com. The countdown expired yesterday at 12 noon when fans were treated to a new song by Janet titled "Weekend".

Christina Milian has done just enough lately to keep people saying her name. From declining the Beyonce comparisons to her now failed relationship with Nick Cannon, Christina has been choppin' it up!
