Well first of all Mariah should get as much money as she deserves for the Emancipation of Mimi, come on now its sold almost 12 million worldwide. She is single handedly saving the music biz from its declining sales and appeal to the mainstream audience of America. The other day i was in Omaha Nebraska and there are was an old man over 40 along with his wife and children blasting we belong together and all of them singing at the same time. It was unbelievable. If u have that much appeal, u need to be paid acccordindly. Thats all i have to say about that.

Total 2005 record sales were still down from 2004 and TEOM's 4.9 million sold in 2005 may have been the year's best but that was the lowest yearly top-seller total in *years.* Not to mention she *barely* out-sold 50 Cent in 2005...

Besides, outside of America, Moomoo is not NEARLY as popular. She is damn near being a LOCAL STAR...

I think that Mariah has definitely been reinstated into the game thanks to JD (Jermaine Dupri) something that has been downplayed. In terms of her latter success with this current album it was well deserved and all around a respected album. I support her drive in getting more money because one should capitalize now while they have attained leverage, this business is too fickle to risk not doing so. Her delaying her business attack will not promise her capitalizing the next album. The bottom line it is about hype and leverage, which she has done both.
