Look, visually speaking the cover is incedible. And keeps up with the R.S. tradition of having great album covers.
But it should come as no suprise that Kanye agreed to pose as Jesus, because truth be told he thinks he is Jesus. I guess Mr. West thinks that he is unfairly criticized by the public when all he is trying to do is help people (Like Jesus Christ)
While I think that Kanye is a good dude with good intentions, he doesn't realize that the difference is that Jesus was humble and that it is his arroance that gets in the way of anything positive he tries to do.
Kanye is a creative visionary, and amazing producer with garbage ass rhymes (most of which he doesn't write himself). Thats my only problem with him, is that he always talkin about how he's the illest rapper out and that shit simply aint true. But all in all the cover is sick and he is definitely doin his thing.
Kanye made "Jesus Walks" and I wasn't sure if he was doing it because he believed in God, or if he just wanted to sell an album or two. After this, I know he's pushing his albums, because he needs the controversy to stay alive. In a culture where anything talking about God in music is wrong, Kanye stood up by making a song. Commendable, but taking a picture for Rolling Stone as Jesus, that's just shameless self-promotion so that he can stay interesting.
